For whatever reasons,,,Diebler got these guys playing harder and better than CH. He utilized the bench better and spread the minutes out to keep kids fresh. It was so evident in the 2nd half of games how much better we were the past 8 games. Imo —-7-1 ,,, as the Illinois game we got robbed .
Read where the player alums don’t really want Miller. They see what Diebler has done in 8 games and i think they are sold. Not for sure who actually gets to make the call though.

The next criteria for coaches is going to be the ability to keep quality depth in the portal age. In some ways, the better coaches in the future could be the schools with the best Boosters/Pay to Play programs. Totally agree. When the whole NIL/portal thing came about I fully expected the University of Texas football program to start a rapid ascent in the rankings.

An early congratulations to HC Jake Diebler. Despite his brief resume, he capitalized on his brief opportunity, with results on the floor. If you stop to think about it. Jake's father, Kieth Diebler will have a strong, indirect presence òn next season's Buckeye basketball. Keith's style of play will be more apparent, now that Jake has the reigns. Kieth coached and nurtured all three of his sons, especially Jon and Jake, on some great teams at Fostoria and Upper. That influence will show it's presence, I'm sure of that.

I’ve thought a lot about leadership in my life, academically and professionally. Had a chance to work with some world class leaders (and some not so great).
The way Jake talks to and about his team represents a type of leadership rarely seen in the upper echelons of anything, let alone college basketball.
A truly effective leader serves and works for the people who follow him. Keep that in mind as you read and listen to what Jake says.
I’m sure that’s why he’s been a great recruiter, and it makes it incredibly compelling to watch the teams he’ll build and lead at Ohio State.

Won't they just fill their pants if he produces a final four in the next five years and what if he won it just once...?? Just being hopeful, but you never know. Respect first- and accolades later...

OSU gets em at home Tuesday. Ga has a one day quicker turnaround and travel. We’ll see if that factors into their play. I expect a decent crowd as tix were selling briskly on ticketmaster already last night.
