Mark my words, only team in the district who can beat Huron is Sandusky. I was right before calling a successful season for the Tigers, I will be right again. You guys hype up these Mansfield area teams so much and they really aren't very good. Sandusky will easily take care of them. I pray to the Lord we get to play WIllard's dumpy *** Ontario team, who has continued all season to dump. Hopefully that will finally shut him up. If i'm not mistaken, Sandusky played Ashland the first game of the year, after making a playoff run in football. And 4 out of their 5 starters are football players.. if they played today Sandusky wins by 10+. GO tigers Huron Lost to Sandusky by 23 points while Shelby and Huron both played very competitive games with the Streaks. Must have a typo on Huron in the "Shelby and Huron being very competitive" Results of games against Sandusky with teams in this District. Shelby -7, Ontario -10, Madison -12, Norwalk -14, Huron -22, Bellevue -37. Perkins has a big rivalry game against Sandusky this Friday and Clyde plays Sandusky at the end of the season.

I was there, Huron @ Sandusky was not even close, In the 1st couple minutes of the 1st quarter, Yes. After that, It was all Blue Streaks, Huron got lucky to get it down to a 23 point loss.

Here is something to think about. Sandusky loses a home game to Ashland but yet Lexington beats Ashland twice.

The top 3 SBC teams didn't play undefeated DI Wooster once OR twice, didn't play DI Ashland who beat Sandusky once OR twice, didn't play Lexington once OR twice, didn't play Madison who beat Lexington once OR twice, didn't play Sandusky twice, didn't play the #2 DIV team in the State. Only one of the top 3 SBC teams came far enough south to play Shelby or Ontario. No mention of having to play Mansfield Senior once or twice. How far the mighty have fallen!!!

No mention of having to play Mansfield Senior once or twice. How far the mighty have fallen!!! With the decline in basketball it would appear the "mighty" have become almost totally irrelevant in the deciding of title champions in the OCC. To many people's surprise, they will finish last in the total sports trophy scoring for at least the 5th straight year.

Here is something to think about. Sandusky loses a home game to Ashland but yet Lexington beats Ashland twice. Ashland has the type of team that can give Sandusky a problem. 3 to 4 inches taller at every position and some good 3-point shooters. Impressive double digit win by Lex at Ashland, in their 2nd game.

portwalk, let's play that game. Perkins could maybe beat Oak Harbor 9 out of 10 times. Lexington could beat Madison 9 out of 10 times. Ontario could beat Bellevue 9 out of 10 times.
Nope, still didn't change the fact that all those teams lost in those games and that has to be factored in. JMO

Head coaches are typically smart when voting. They know an upset sometimes happens, but they know which team is better. They also know when two teams are similar head-to-head is the tie-breaker

JMO Not sure I understand your point but I'll try Yes Perkins could beat OH 9 out of 10 times, Yes Ontario could beat Bellevue 9 out of 10 times and Lex Madison 8 out of 10 maybe. Yes all were favorites however OH and Bellevue in NO WAY shape or form are similar to Ashland or definitely not Madison... Also other than Ontario's debacle to Bellevue occur in the beginning of the season. Sandusky will pound Perkins IMO

The point is coulda-a should-a is irrelevant. Use what has happened as fact and go from there. Sometimes the better team loses and that has to factor in.
Understood, and a team with 3 losses can be better than a team with only 2, but you cannot remove any of the losses. In this case there could be teams in the district with 4-5 losses that are better than teams with 2-3 losses.

I think we agree that Sandusky's achilles heel is their lack of size. I'd like to know what Elyria's lineup looked like

Sandusky's worst loss was probably Oberlin. What was there lineup?

Elyria is a good ball club. They gave a top ten D1 team all they could handle and play in a league with all D1 teams. They also hit like 15 threes that game. Sandusky will dump on everyone in this district besides Huron. I see a district final between the Tigers and the Streaks. GO Tigers

Don't see that Tigers making it that far, oberlin was a bad loss, sandusky had 10 point lead with 2 minutes left and pooped down there leg. It will be interesting to see how this district shakes out. There are some real good teams.

We'll see Streak. If the Tigers win out they could get a 2 or 3 seed and be on the opposite side of the bracket from Sandusky.

Or a 4, 5, 6, etc. seed and still go on the opposite side of the bracket from Sandusky. Only the 2-seed HAS to go opposite. Everyone else can do the same, so long as a bracket line is open. It's not like the NCAA selection show where everyone is locked in.

Elyria went 6"6, 6"5" 6"4, 6"0, 5"10 yep, as I figured. Sandusky can play with or beat any team their size, but not athletic size like that.

Winner of this District has a good opportunity to make it to state as the WBL is down compared to years past. Upper may have picked the year to be good. The region is real wide open should be fun to watch
