How do you go from unranked to # 4 in one week?

Just goes to show how pointless pre/early season polls are

How do you go from unranked to # 4 in one week? The voters forgot Juwan Howard was the new head coach?

It's funny that there's a movement in U of M country to spend a bunch of their football money on Basketball and go all in for a National Title in basketball. Knowing they have no chance to get by Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin just to win a Big Ten Title in football.

The Big Ten only has two teams with a losing record. Best conference in the country week in and week out. 12 teams all have a shot at making the NCAA tournament.

I didn't want to hijack OSU thread nor wanted to start another, but are some really considering Villanova as a blue blood?

They should be considered more of a blue blood than UCLA who has done less than Nova since after the Wooden era.

They should be considered more of a blue blood than UCLA who has done less than Nova since after the Wooden era. One probably can lump Indiana as well since the General left. But, that necessarily doesn't mean Nova is a blue blood.

Tradition, consistency and resources
This is what makes a program a blue blood. Therefore, realistically I think Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and UNC are the only blue bloods

Even Duke is a newer form since their program didn't take off until mid 80s.
Besides Villanova, amazing UConn wouldn't be considered also, and they've won 4 Titles in last 25 years. Louisville 3 since 1980.

Louisville 3 since 1980. I would think those two are blue blood verge programs. I think recruiting and conference affiliation has a part in it. Now with Louisville in ACC they have the good chance to be the next blue blood. UCONN has been down for 3 straight years and are leaving the AAC so we'll see what happens there. They also only have 5 final four appearances, lucky for them 4 ended in championships.
