Looks like the best assembled team in this district may be a safe bet to make it out.

Looking forward to this District. Everyone will try and avoid MSP as they are the class of the field BY FAR!!! Everyone at .500 or above could win a sectional title and because of the depth we will have some good Sectional Championship matchups. Bracket placement will be interesting as well.

Watched St. Pete's on WMFD Saturday night against Shelby. They definitely have a nice team, Jakubick is a nice player and their pg was tough. Campbell had a couple nice dunks too. I enjoyed watching them play.

Of those teams, who has the best resume win? Galion - Well definately St. Petes has the best win but as I said earlier they would win this district easy. My comment was more about having some good sectional championship matchups and I would say St. Pauls win over WR or Margaretta and SMCC's win over Old Fort are the next two best wins in the field. It would seem like NSP, SMCC, Colonel Crawford and Lucas all are battling out for the 2 seed. CC may be a favorite for that two seed with similar recrods just because they will carry the Southern vote Im guessing (N10 and Mansfield area schools). Alot can happen though in the weeks leading up to the draw as SP has a favorable schedule their next 5 games.

Based on current records and voting blocks, the #2 seed at this moment in time, looks to favor St.Paul and Lucas slightly over CC and a large advantage over SMCC.

94, I think NSP get the 2 seed at this time. SM may have a slight edge over CC.

I would agree.....SP is the two seed as we speak and I dont see their winning percentage dropping in the next 5 games as they have Willard, Plymouth, Monroeville, Edison and Crestview over the next 5. If they play well, all 5 games are winnable. Just noting that If you look at the teams in the field, I think their will be a bias towards the SW teams (OLD NCC) as they have a few more teams from that area in this District. CC lacks that really good win though. Speaking of SMCC, I would have to think that Falknor is approaching win #500. Anyone know where he stands.

Falknor has 411 to start the year. 20 more are in question at Greenon, before he came to Bellevue.
We can ask awebgsu to clarify.

I think the 411 came off a website that is not accurate or up to date. OHSBCA shows him at 460 as of 12/11/15!! I was thinking he was in the high 480's or low 490's but I cant be sure.

Correct, the 411 is from North Central Ohio Basketball Histories. A website that was created and maintained by "awebgsu", who frequents this site. The 411 looks correct, for all his games at Bellevue and SMCC through last year. What is in question is how many games he won at another school/schools before Bellevue. Maybe you can shed some light on that to update the site. By the OHSBCA website the updated date is 12/21/15 maybe they added 10 more days of research or you had a typo, as the total still has 460. If the 460 is the good number add 16 from last year after 12/21 and 10 wins so far this year and the current number as of today is 486. Should be close to 500 to start next season. Unless SMCC wins a State Title this year.

94hoops, from what I could find he is currently at 491-277. Unless he has some head coaching years prior to the 84-85 season.

94hoops, from what I could find he is currently at 491-277. Unless he has some head coaching years prior to the 84-85 season. I've been able to fill in most of the holes. Falknor came into this season with a 482-302 record (matches up with 460-298 record through 2014/15 on ohiobkcoaches site), and goes into tournament 494-312. 2 years at Tri-County North 16-28 - per Dayton Daily News article when he won his 400th 3 years at Greenon 56-18 - per Dayton Daily News article when he won his 400th 21 years at Bellevue 296-180 9th year at St. Mary 126-86 According to Greenon's basketball records though he went 59-15 in his 3 years there (20-3 (good I have scores), 27-1 (good per OHSAA state program) and 12-11 (unconfirmed) which would be 3 more wins and 3 fewer losses then the Dayton article. Still trying to get yearly records for the 2 years at Tri-County to see if the 16-28 is correct.

The top 4 move on to Willard. CC vs Norwalk St Paul and St Petes vs South Central The coaches had these seeds right on as you said. CC and NSP should be a good matchup. SC can play with MSP for awhile but their youth will come back to hurt them in the end. N-10 is normally a deeper conference so we will see if NSP (who had trouble with 8 seed BC from the N-10) can play with CC.

CC vs Mansfield St Petes for the district title. St Pete should take this one as CC is just to young but should be a good learning experience for those freshman.

CC's future looks bright, but St. Pete's is on another level. They are a fun team to watch. My biggest concern with St. Pete's is that they don't seem to have any depth. If they get into foul trouble against a really good team, it might get interesting.

Have seen both teams play a couple of times this year. If CC can keep this from being a fast paced game and feed the post players for 15points between the two of them they might pull off the upset. Hopefully it will be a good game.😎😎
