This is the Cavs 6th time appearing in the conference finals (4th time with LeBron), and all 6 have been against different teams

Barring injury at worst I can see losing 2 games here.
Get to the finals healthy kids.

2 weeks ago the TV schmucks were saying you have to stay on the Cavs players and make Lebron and Kyrie beat you at the hoop because they shoot blah blah from 2. I was thinking yeah they shoot blah blah from 2 against double teams and from 16 feet, but if you stay on the shooters that means you are NOT doubling Lebron which means dunk fest and 100% shooting for Lebron. Looks like I was right. Toronto will need to play like Atlanta and double Lebron, leaving Love, Frye, JR, Delly open. I would rather loose because those guys are draining 3's than watching Lebron have a dunk fest on my face.
Cavs in 4 vs Raptors Cavs in 5 in the Finals

This Eastern Conference Final is de-COM-pressing for one Kyle Lowry.

Barring injury at worst I can see losing 2 games here. Get to the finals healthy kids. There's one. We shall see if the Cavs wake up and realize they are playing a decent team that was overwhelmed games 1-2 on the big stage. If the Raptors hang around and Valenciunas comes back, will be a tight race to 6-7 games.

It looked like the Raptors took a page out of the Cavs playbook - feed/drive inside and then pop the ball out for an outside shot.
The Raptors seemed much more patient and allowed things to happen - rather than force it like they did the first two games.
Didn't help that the shooting wasn't as hot for the Cavs as it had been.

The Cavs are a completely different team when they share the ball than when they don't. Case and point that huge run they made last night to not only come back but to take the lead. The ball moved around and time after time the middle opened up for an easy shot or dunk. Then when the Raptors tried to clog that up the outside was open. But it always requires the ball to move for the shots to get open. The whole dribble a bunch and then shoot thing doesn't work all the time and makes a team with that much firepower almost one dimensional. If the Cavs can attack and force a double team which then makes them scramble which eventually opens someone up for a good shot.
My other comment there is that when they do post up Lebron someone needs to cut to the hoop. When all the other 4 players on the court are just spotting up at the 3 point line it doesn't give Lebron anyone to pass to. If the guy at the top of the key on the same side were to cut to the hoop then the opposite side top player can spot up for an open shot as his defender is going to help on the cutting player. And if they don't double the cutter then he'll be open. But the last two games when Lebron posted no one is moving.
If Tristan keeps playing like that then it might be time to get Mosgov out there and challenge him to keep BB off the glass when Fry needs a break.

The look on LBJ's face before the game told the story before it had been written. The more aggressive team has won every game in this series. From what I see this begins on the defensive side. If Toronto wins by Lowry hitting 35 foot jumpers then so be it but to give up long 3's and lay-ups plus offensive rebounds means they have no defensive focus in my eyes.

Hopefully this isn't a 'Boston' game 5 tonight.
Despite how Thunder's playing, having no SA & GS (if that series ends up with OKC) is about as big of a dream scenario as CLE could hope for.
Now they have to play like they have a pair.

If OKC wins and Cleveland as well then Cleveland has home court, correct? Cleveland 57-25, OKC 55-27. Goes to best record still, right? If so then that is the best thing that could happen should we get past Toronto.

I can more easily watch an NBA game than an MLB game. Although it helps to DVR both NBA and MLB games to fast forward through all the chaff.

Agree about the Browns sucking but if they ever get it together I would hope you jump back on. I thought you were an NBA fan but I guess not. Personally I think it's a better product then College (and the players are on the same team longer). So yea that just leaves the Tribe (and you hate their mascot).

So thankful that the Cavs showed up to play tonight! What a difference! I just love Jefferson - what a gritty player!

When the Cavs are good they are very good.
Offense is clicking but the intensity on defense is nice to see. Credit to Lue for demanding that.

So basically if the Cavs give an 'eff', they win.
If they give one and win in Toronto, that will show me they can compete and battle at the final level.

The CAVS wanted to play defense tonight. I find it hard to believe it took Lue 2 games to figure this out. I can see having trouble shooting the ball on the road in a hostile environment...but defense??

Part of it was "giving an eff" and "wanting" to play D. But part of it was Lue telling them to go over top on screens and aggressively trap Lowry and DeRozan on the P&R's. When those two couldn't operate in space and get to their spots they were lost.
I can't prove it but I think Lue told the boys "I won't bench you for missing shots but if you loaf on defense out you come". Result---few open looks, more tipped balls, turnovers, blocked shots, steals, gang rebounding.
It's always a battle to get young pampered NBA'ers to play 48 minutes of intense team defense. You don't make highlight clips and all-star games by sprinting back on D, altering shots and boxing out.
When I see semi-headcases like Love, Kyrie & JR playing relentless defense, I get more confident that Lue knows what he's doing and we get a championship.
The 2 losses in Canada? Yeah, they were bad. Blame for them goes mostly to Love and Lue.

Great game but I'm a little worried about Valanciunas being almost back. He makes Toronto a lot harder to guard when healthy.

And I will always be a Browns fan, I just hate that they moved in the first place, I've never really gotten over it. I don't think the team in Cleveland should be called the Browns, but like every other fool i root my ace off every weekend for them, and probably always will. I just always feel guilty about it. GO CAVS! rofl and yes I hate awful Wahoo, he won't be around much longer tho! gimme the NOSF Tribe-Feather Logo!

I was concerned, but from what I saw the dude wasn't in game shape yet and won't be by the end of this series. I'd rather face him than goofy Biyombo and with both of them in there we can hopefully sting them for 3's and spread them out. What a job to get Frye for Wild Wing.

What an encouraging first half - Cleveland CAN play in Toronto! Exciting - both teams are in it.
Now the Cavs need to come out strong and put them away this second half.
