don't insinuate i backed this horrible regime kid, i've been warning about Huge Action from day 1
as far as analytics go tho, they sure seemed to work for Philly when they traded up to get Wentz...a good craftsman never blames his tools
that would be like me blaming the English language for your aborted post, it just wouldn't be equitable

No analytics needed on Wentz or Watson look at what they did in college. Wentz had a awesome pro day. Teams that have win have people that judge talent and have a feel for them.

How many of the Browns fans will be rooting for the Steelers to beat the Browns today, In hopes of keeping that perfect season intact (0-16), So that planned parade scheduled for next Saturday will still go on in Cleveland. I might go it.

And so it ends.
Browns join the Lions as the only 2 teams to go 0-16, and join a whole bunch of teams on the list of winless NFL seasons.

How did the Browns lose this game? The Steelers had inactivated most everybody of consequence. I think they were picking people out of the stand and putting jerseys on them.

How?
-Steelers are deep at most positions, like other good teams. Aside from the obvious drop off in offensive starters, the defense was still formidable.
- turnovers
- dropped ball at the worst time, reflecting a lack of playmakers
- penalties
- inexperience to recognize and react to plays
- inability to overcome adversity. The questionable roughing call against Garrett on 3rd down turned 3 pts into 7 pts. That turned out to be a very significant play. You could find one of those plays in every game they lost. Good teams find ways to overcome adversity.
The Browns had a solid opportunity to win this game, as was the case for several games. I want to believe that they are just a few key players away from being at least .500 but the losing culture seems deeply rooted.
Maybe someday the games between these once bitter rivals will actually mean enough again that starters aren't being rested.

As a Steelers fan, I felt so sorry for the Browns - the dejected looks on their faces. Misterbreeze nailed it with his analysis. The Browns really need to build a winning culture and get some experienced players. They had a lot of nice moments out there today. They just can't seem to put it together.
My husband, a Browns fan, couldn't get excited even as the Browns were driving on their last possession. His favorite comment this season, "Once again, the Browns will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!"

How can this franchise be so bad for so long? Yesterday was the cherry on top of the crap sundae. It was the equivalent of big brother beating you with one hand while he is on the phone with his girlfriend. I;'m a Steelers fan as well, and I still couldn't believe it. This isn't baseball where there are haves and have nots. Or the NBA, where you can spend as much as you like so long as your owner doesn't mind paying a luxury tax. In the NFL, the Browns are essentially spending the same amount of money on their roster as the other teams in the league. So how can they be so downtrodden for such an extended period of time? Who are they spending their money on? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind taking my dad and brothers to watch Browns games at 6 bucks a pop.

But, I think the present ownership now understands this, tightening their chin straps and are purposely keeping the coaching staff intact, that's an important element in getting where they want to be.

John Fox, Jim Caldwell (9-7), Chuck Pagano (first losing season with the Colts), and Jack Del Rio have to be scratching their heads - they're fired and Cleveland owner stresses again that they are sticking with Jackson (1 - 31). The irony for these guys and others whose heads are on the block. . .
I like Jackson . . . I think the players like and respect Jackson. I think keeping him is the right move for Cleveland - as sportsjock mentioned - it's a way to build continuity. Yes, they need a quarterback, but they also need an offensive line that will protect their quarterback, as well as receivers that will catch their quarterback's throws. Is Kizer the answer? I don't know . . . he was thrown into an impossible position. Whatever young qb they have, will need the experience of a veteran to help mentor and guide.

Picabo, I really think the Brownies (or as I like to call them to wife who is a fan of them, THE FARIES, they need to quit putting their ROOKIES QB's in as starters. You are right that they need a veteran qb to help out but what veteran want's to come to Cleveland and their stupid mess that they always put themselves into.
