Is this the same Todd Pooch who was forced to resign after getting caught trying to engage in some uhhh fetish activities with a hooker? He was cleared of that allegation

Ok he resigned his coaching position, but his case was dismissed. That means he is cleared by the judge

Ok he resigned his coaching position, but his case was dismissed. That means he is cleared by the judge it also means he should NOT be teaching / coaching children. Its a mistake he made that was bad judgement, I agree with redskin on this issue. there no second chances when it comes to teaching kids.

Sounds like there is a lot of excitement in Margaretta for Jerry Rutherford from Eastwood. Hung it up after this past season. Son is now the coach at Eastwood. Not sure of the details of his departure and sudden interest in Margaretta but comes with a successful past and credibility to get the Bears back on track. www.bcsn.tv/news_article/show/761070"Jerry Rutherford had a 227-140 record at Eastwood, with 10 conference championships, nine runner-up finishes, and 10 state playoff appearances. The deepest postseason run came in 2007, when the Eagles (11-2) reached the Division IV regional finals. From 2001-16, the Eagles were 131-46 overall, and won eight conference titles."

Talked to friend yesterday that is an asst. at Eastwood, he said Rutherford was tired after 35 years and wanted to take a year or two off. But said the Margaretta job is close and could be a good change. If he gets the job I wonder if he bring coaches with him?

From my understanding the three finalist I mentioned on previous page are accurate (I didn't have Rutherford I guess there is 4), but figuring out a teaching position for Pooch, Sessler or Rutherford maybe complicated, a lot of chess pieces on the board at MHS. Holfacker is already at Townsend Charter so convenience of already literally being next door and already having a teaching job will probably land Holfacker the job. I know the 2 Margaretta candidates families and watch both grow up in the community, so I am keeping my opinions/feelings to myself. Margaretta should of probably waited to do interviews after they had teaching positions figured out.

Hope his assistants can live off of $2,000 stipends and some free polar bear coaching gear.

Guarantee the hire will not be anyone they interviewed yet. Keep your ears open and don't be shocked when it's a guy from ADs old district.

If the person does not need a teaching position that could be a strong possibility! Remember this is d 6 football at a school that hasn't had success for 15 years in a area where job loss is a real problem.

Guy wants out of Garfield Heights and is interviewing at TCS. Supposedly the guy that was first choice. Don't know much about him other than never been HC and possibly would "stick out" in Castalia

Also heard that Sessler was only given interview as favor. Not even in the discussion . Wasn't even on original interview list. It's Eastwood guy then Garfield guy. Holfacker and Poach are smoke screens

Holfacker and Poach are smoke screens I don't know who you are getting this info from, I can almost guarantee that it will either be Holfacker or Pooch based on several different variables, this processes may take a good while and there may not be a coach in place till May (which is only 9 days a way). I think Sessler coaches/teaches in Georgia highly doubt they would waste his time.

That's a heck of a commute for a part-time job. And why would any assistants, who make even less money, come with him? The important ones are staying at Eastwood, who is absolutely loaded this year.

How can you say the important ones are staying at Eastwood. Coach Rutherford was Eastwood Football, he did everything including doing the laundry. Your right they should be good but Rutherford got them there not his boy. Rutherford has a couple year old home in Luckey and his wife work at Eastwood so he not moving. I do think 40 miles or less is close. I also think one of his top asst. lives in Fremont and is retired, I could see him going also.

They are not going to coach at Margaretta next year. But that doesn't really matter, because according to you Jerry does everything all by himself.

Interviews next week, finalist who I listed previously, they do have a few teaching jobs, not sure what positions. From what I have been told and despite my opinion and others on this website Pooch or Sessler will probably be offered the position.
