They may have played Rogers also, they rotated it I think. None of the old Buckeye schools had many easy games in those days. I remember my sophomore year maybe Junior Fremont had 1 loss when we played them , it was to Lakewood St.Ed's. 20-0. I remember thinking damn how good is St Ed's. When I played JV we played St. Ignatius, it was close. We played Mohler as Freshman, it wasn't close. Why we played them I have no idea. Harding would get beat so bad today if they played teams like that. 48 - 14 to clear fork says it all. They are so small , I thought we were small back in the day, not even close. Every team seems small around here these days, of course no big schools playing around here either.

It must have been St. Ignatius . Ross played St. Ignatius twice. In 2001 Ross hosted the Wildcats and lost, 48-25. In 2002, the worst Ross team ever travelled to Byers Field in Parma to get ripped by Iggy, 63-14.

If I'm not mistaken, Brian Hoyer QB'd those Wildcat teams.

I tell you what, this past Friday's game between Norwalk-Sandusky sure reminded me of 1983 Regional Title game btw Ross-Sandusky. Intense, hard-hitting, and down to the wire. Norwalk went to power package like Little Giants did that night as well. I was a sixth grader at the time, and my sixth grade son enjoyed the other night's game. Flashbacks and deja Vu, haha
