Next year we'll have on the roster Burrow, Haskins, Martell, and freshman Emory Jones. That may be the most talented group of qb's Ohio state has had on its roster at one time. In 2018 Burrow will be a RS Junior, Haskins will be a RS Soph, Martell will be Red Shirted this year in hopes he gets taller than 5-10. Jones will be a Freshman and will be Red Shirted, as Urban has done with all of his QBs at Ohio State. Burrow is next in line. Can Haskins beat him out? If not will Haskins wait 2 more years to be a one year starter? Can Martell wait 3 years to be a one year starter? Will Jones wait 4 years to be a one year starter, or will he ask to be moved to WR to get on the field like Torrance Gibson did. Watching their NFL careers pass before their eyes, how many will transfer? The issues that come with having the most talented group of QBs on a roster, in Ohio State history.

JT Barrett = ball holding, 2 yard throws, stagnant offense, struggle to score Other QB's = balls thrown down field, Touchdowns, points scored
2014 would have never have happened without Cardale Jones throwing the ball down field.

Barrett still making bad passes today. Not my favorite qb on the team but i back him and hope for him to do well. Other 3 could start On a lot of teams. Martells 5 yard Td run was shifty that was nice. Burrow and Haskins were dropping dimes. Something tells me burrow will never be a starter at osu tho. But it'll be a 3 way battle next year with him and martell and Haskins

The Cardale Jones 60 yard rope was the highlight of the day....lol

It was also a nice moment when they let that kid in the wheelchair score the last TD

I agree, Jacob Jarvis has been adopted by the Ohio State football team since 2013. It was a nice moment, kinda like the young man battling cancer, scoring a 69 yard touchdown for Nebraska, running through a series of missed tackles.

Cardale Jones would never have happened without Devin Smith making miraculous catches of the jump balls Cardale threw. You saw what happened to Cardale the following season after Devin Smith graduated.

Cardale is a pro-style QB and it became quite apparent the following year, he was not the best fit for Urban's offense. I agree, Devin Smith was a key factor in Ohio State's miraculous run for the title.

Now we are on to a new o coordinator and every QB except JT Barrett is throwing it down field. JT hasn't thrown it down field once in his career, he has a noodle arm, is inaccurate and holds the ball all day.

Not knowledgeable. Herman didn't coach up his QB at Houston good enough to beat Navy, SMU, Memphis, or San Diego State. Barrett coming back from his broken leg was better than Cardale after the midpoint of the season when he replaced him.
Urban, who is obviously knowledgeable, gave this report on his QBs after the Spring Game. All 4 QBs were off the first week of practice with a new QB coach and a new O-coordinator. JT played just 3 series and his accuracy was right on target as it has been most of the spring. Then it became the Burrow, Haskins show as that's where the battle is, for the back up QB spot. It's very close and no decision will be made until fall camp. Even Tate got in a few plays at the end as he'll be red shirted and be the scout team QB.

Maybe you watched on tv and they didn't show it all or something. But I was there in person and JT missed multiple throws and threw an interception.

4,
They showed it on TV too. Same old JT, holding onto the ball too long, staring down receivers and inaccurate. He still stares at his first target and pats the ball 3 times before aiming an inaccurate throw, horrendous. If JT is the QB for every game this year then there is a 0.0% chance OSU wins a NC. Alabama in 2014 would have murdered him like VT did in 2014 and like Clemson, Michigan, MSU all did in 2016.
Hike, 3 step drop, stare at #1 receiver the whole time, pat the ball, pat the ball, pat the ball, all while still looking at #1 target, then either aim an inaccurate pass or tuck and run. Horrendous. Lucky for us in 2014 we had Cardale Jones who could throw the ball down the field and could beat AMAZING teams like Alabama. JT would have gotten us rocked 35-0, just like he did vs Clemson.
The NFL scouts see how bad he is, that's why he had to come back and why he will not get drafted even after 4 years of starting at the college level.
Has there ever been a QB to start 4 years at an FBS school and not get drafted? Or will JT be the first?

Ever hear of Urban Meyer? Did you know that Herman and Meyer took 90% of the pass plays out of the playbook in Cardale's 3 games? Did you know they took 50% of the running plays out of the play book in Cardale's 3 games? Do you know they threatened Cardale DO NOT throw a pass except down the sideline? Not me talking, just telling you what Urban said about his QBs. Don't you know how to do research? Here's Urban's phone number, call him and let him tell you in person about ALL of his QBs 614-292-7620.

The most TD passes in Ohio State history in 2 1/2 seasons isn't good enough? He should have had 100??

Looking for the supposed three pats on the ball before releasing a pass.....still looking. Perhaps my favorite is the jump pass vs. Penn State.

Ohio State is a young football team in 2017. The post spring game 2-deep lists 24 players on offense, which doesn't include Jr. Johnie Dixon star of the game, 4 are seniors. 22 are listed on defense, 7 are Seniors. There is solid depth at every position group, the O-line being the only question mark as far as depth.

Ohio State had the youngest team in the nation last season and managed to go 12-1. Michigan has the youngest team in the nation with only 5 returning starters, we'll see how that goes.

Think this year's edition of Buckeyes is going to be very special. The defense is going to be fun to watch, with a deep rotation at most positions...pressure, pressure, pressure. The offense had a year to rectify and solidify the OL and Kevin Wilson will instill new innovation and much less predictability to the offensive scheme. There is talent and depth everywhere.
An unblemished season, Big Ten Championship and playoff berth would come as no surprise.

Maybe you watched on tv and they didn't show it all or something. But I was there in person and JT missed multiple throws and threw an interception. These are the Spring Game completion %s of the 3 QB's. Since you were there, tell us which of the %s went with each QB. 70%, 68%, 63%.

I didn't keep a book with me or look it up after I'm not sure haha. But maybe jt was 70%. I am behind jt I support him but I will point out his errors. Was just saying some of his throws looked like the basic jt throws. Still wish he'd air one out 40 yards.

How many dropped passes did each QB have? How many bad routes were run for each QB? You are aware that the Scarlet team had the 1st team DB's and the Gray had the 2nd string DBs.

True. But Shaun wade and okudah both looked really really good. I look for 1 or both of those freshman to get some PT this fall.

These two 5* recruits are showing it on the field. Expect Schiano to take advantage of his wealth of talent, by implementing a liberal rotation that will see Ohio State with a late game, fresh leg advantage.
