Wynford has dominated the conference in recent years. What team has the most starters returning and who is the early favorite to win the league? Will Seneca East or Colonel Crawford or someone else be able to knock of Wynford for the title this year?

Nobody has an opinion to share on the league this year?

No one will "share" the N-10 Title with Wynford.

N10 2016 JV and Varsity standings:
SE 6-0; 6-2 Carey 4-1; 6-2 WYN 4-1-1; 8-0 CC 3-3; 6-2 MOH 3-3-1; 4-4 Upper 2-4; 3-5 BUC 1-5; 1-7 BC 0-6; 2-6
I see the N10 as very close this year. WF may be correct, the winner may not have to "share" the title with Wynford.

We've already seen this movie too many times not to realize how it will end.

Exactly. Every year it's Wynford's to lose. Until someone knocks them off, they are the favorite. They have won all 3 N10 titles thus far and are my favorite this year again.

What relevance does the jv record have?

What relevance does the jv record have? First year of the N10 (and probably longer than that, back to NCC days) that Wynford has not had the best Jv record. A preview of a new movie? Plus, it's darn fun to get sore Galion fans to pop their heads up.

Hate to burst your bubble but I was never all that sore about what happened. I enjoy following area high school football and have a friend that keeps me posted on Wynford. In fact I went to both of their playoff games. Bottom line Wynford is the favorite in the N10 until someone knocks them off. I have a lot of respect for Colonel Crawford and even live in the district. One of these days they will likely do it. But until that happens, I'm sticking with Wynford. π

With Wymford not taking home the best record in JV last year maybe it is someone elses year to take home the title. If I do remember correctly Wynfords going to be Junior class has not been very strong moving up through middle school. With that said I will still be putting my money on the Royals. Who looks to be the top returning players or rising stars this year?
Some players that come to mind Trevor Shawber CC Robbie Miller Wynford Zack Houck Wnford Harley Robinson Bucyrus Brock Martin Seneca East Bryce Lutz Buckeye Central Brayden Wentling Carey Jaden Siebeneck Upper Sandusky

I didn't realize that Coach Helbert and QB Hoffman were keeping the offense held down the last couple of years.

Second guessing the coach on a team that went 19-1 in the regular season "the last couple of years"? Judging from the scores it certainly doesn't seem that the offense has been "held down". They scored fewer than 24 points all of once during that time. Now granted the point totals went down during the playoffs, but that typically happens to all but the elite level teams.

Held down never exited my mouth. I said opened up. I.E. more passing than running. And was complementing a kid who many felt from that program is the best passing qb that the royals have had in a long time.

Actually what you suggested was that he was somehow better than the kid who was most likely the best offensive player in the N10 for the last 2 years.

Awful strong words that smith will be the best passing qb the royals have had in a long time. When was the last time he actually played meaningful minutes at qb considering he played WR/DB last year. I wish him nothing but the best but I can't see calling him the best passing qb without many quality varsity reps.

Will he be as good as Steve Keene ? I may have the spelling of the last name wrong but Steve was QB in the mid 1980s . Started 2 or 3 years and was a very good passer. Went to University of Toledo after High School.

I really don't know anything about Mr. Smith so I'll take your word about his abilities. What I do wonder about is your thought that Wynford will change their offensive philosophy to pass more than run. Last year in all games they ran the ball 438 times, vs. passing 189 times. Why go away from what has worked for them (and what their players have learned and practiced) for years? I suspect that this player will get plenty of opportunities to throw the ball within Wynford's system, but will be expected to execute the same system that that has brought them success over the years.

Β Just what I have been told. They plan to do things different now that the haufman boy graduated. Plus the last two years getting bounced by teams in the playoffs that did what you did but better causes programs to shift a little bit. Ad that the o line is not as agile this coming year and the speed on the outside is better as well. But hey after all I'm just going on the words of a group of parents and a couple of the coaches. And we all know how much wynford sports are run by the parents rightππππππ bwahhahhaa!

What's the latest and greatest happening with everyone's favorite team this summer. How have camps and 7 on 7's be going? How many players will each team be expecting out this year?

Numbers are way down at Upper Sandusky. No freshman team and the last count I heard was 26 boys out for football total through all four grades.

Not meaning to question what you heard, but if true that is very surprising. I would think Upper has at least 26 boys in the basketball program! May be they should try and schedule an 8-man game with Ridgedale.

Add that to the impressive win record since Upper became the big fish in the little pond and the incredible amount of work it takes in football. There are still some kids there who show up, but it makes me sad to hear that they aren't getting it done in the numbers game.

Don't know if it's an other sport problem or if it's a kids not wanting to play for the coach problem. 207 boys and you can only get 26 ish boys out something stinks and it not sweaty jockstrap! ππ

According to last years roster on the N10 website, Upper had 38 underclassmen (9-10-11) on the team. Add to that the incoming players who were in 8th grade last year and you have an alarming amount of attrition. Maybe some of those not attending the summer workouts will show up when it cools down a little.

That typically is the case with a lot of programs.

That typically is the case with a lot of programs. But since when is this OK? I hated summer conditioning... hated it!!! Yet, coach let us know in no uncertain terms if we weren't there, we wouldn't play on Friday nights. I never missed a single session in my three years in HS, because I wanted to play. I guess I'm just tired of the superstar attitudes when little Johnnie is really just a second stringer...

We aren't in the 80's anymore. When I was in school summer lifting/conditioning wasn't optional for most of us. Coach told us when it was and we were there. We knew better than to think we'd ever sniff the field on a Friday night if we didn't. Of course we had some pretty high goals as a team and individually as well. I suppose if you play in a place where you know realistically that you can't win(ie. anyone in the N10 not named Wynford) then the motivation probably isn't as high unless you have dreams of playing in college or something.
