Volleyball in the River Division should be up in the air. Old Fort graduated their "super seniors" who have been mostly responsible for that school's recent success.

Old Fort just got swept in three by Clyde.... maybe there isn't some magical pool of athletes from which they can "reload"?

And I believe one of Clyde's best players from the last couple years isn't even playing vball. Seen her name in the tennis scores in the register.

Perkins beat Vermilion in 3 sets last night 25-14, 25-21, 25-15. Good first match for the Pirates, Vermilion's top hitter was not herself didn't look 100% because when she's on she is one of the better players in Ohio. It was a good crossover win though

Has anybody knows how Norwalk Vball team doing this year so far? Varsity beat Edison in 3 straight Tuesday night, but JV/Frosh lost - both in 2. Lots of communication issues at lower levels that hurt them, but also lots of skilled players down there.

Oak Harbor must have a nice team this year. I'm not overly familiar with them but, they beat some quality teams. Typically have they been this good in VB?

They have been good the past couple years, but this year they are playing great. It helps when you have two quality 6 footers as well and some other good players with height in the front row. Many play JO with good programs so they will be a force for the next year or two for sure.

Why would that "cost them"? Everyone makes the tourney.... if they are good enough they will win and move on, if not they won't. Granted a more challenging schedule could help prepare them for pressure situations, but that doesn't mean it will cost them IMO.

Huron pushed them, nobody else has. that can come back to haunt a team. but you need to schedule someone who takes your primary goals away. they don't play anyone like that outside of Huron and maybe willard.
