As we all know the award is a pretty big joke and has been for DECADES.
Larry Bird had 3 NBA MVPs before Magic got his first (White/Black thing)
Michael Jordan should have about 8 or 9 MVP's not 5
Lebron James has also been getting hosed. Very interesting that LeBron wasn't even in the Top 3.
Lebron's per since 2006 with the winner in the year LeBron should have easily been the MVP, no discussion even needed but Lebron got hosed.
2005-06 - 28.1 per LBJ - winner 23.3 per Steve Nash
2006-07 - 24.5 per LBJ
2007-08 - 29.1 per LBJ - winner 24.2 Kobe Bryant
*2008-09 - 31.7 Lebron actually won
*2009-10 - 31.1 Lebron actually won
2010-11 - 27.3 per LBJ - winner 23.5 Derrick Rose
*2011-12 - 30.7 Lebron actually won
*2012-13 - 31.6 Lebron actually won
2013-14 - 29.3 per LBJ
2014-15 - 25.9 per LBJ
2015-16 - 27.5 per LBJ
2016-17 - 27.0 per LBJ
Lebron didn't win in 2006 because they said he was too young. He'll get his, so we will give it to Steve Nash for the 2nd time.
Lebron didn't win in 2011 because he went from CLE to MIA. To stick it to LBJ they gave it to D-Rose the youngest player to ever win the award and 2 years younger than when they finally let LBJ win one.
The 3 finalist in 2017
27.3 per James Harden - 5.7 turnovers per game - shot 44% from the field
30.6 per Russell Westbrook - 5.6 turnovers per game - shot 43% from the field
27.5 per Kawhi Leonard - 25.5 ppg, 3.5 apg, 5.8 rpg, 49% FG%
-------------------------------
LBJ averaged this year 26.4 ppg, 8.7 apg, 8.6 rpg, 54.8% FG%
The 8.7 apg and 8.6 rpg are Career highs for Lebron. And he shot 55% from the field.
LBJ has to have all time historic years to win MVP's. Meanwhile Derrick Rose can win the award over LeBron when Rose put up stats that we'd be saying sucks if Lebron put up that junk.
