Senior is playing Whitehall-Yearling at the Q this afternoon at 3pm. Burtin may or may not be back this week, depending on practice time.

I read in the paper a Mansfield kid was honored with 1000 career points but saw that 174 of them were scored at a different school. Is this normal or does he get an mark by his name in the record book? This could happen for Mason Campbell also.

Dude, I could be mistaken but I think Campbell already got to 1,000 at St Peter's last year.

Dude, I could be mistaken but I think Campbell already got to 1,000 at St Peter's last year. Right on, but that does not answer the question so I'll ask it a different way. Does Mason Campbell get placed in the Madison record books as a 1000+ point scorer. Madison may only have 5 or 6 players with over 1000 career points. If he did reach that milestone at St Pete he could go down as the all time leading scorer in Madison history. I think Ryan Pore is around 1350. I bet he could already have more career points than Ryan Pore with all the additional tournament games he has played.

Ryan Pore or Larrick. leading scorer in Madison history? I would think Campbell would not qualify.

Ryan Pore or Larrick. leading scorer in Madison history? I would think Campbell would not qualify. An old Madison fan told me it was Pore. I suppose each school would decide to include points collected from playing at another school. There would be little doubt that either players, the Mansfield kid and Campbell, would have the total points they have without playing at a different school than they do now.

Lexington's Cade Stover went over 1000 points Saturday night in a 32 point performance against Colonel Crawford. Jamie Feick hold school record with 1310 points I think. Stover should break that record with ease. Probably will be rebounding leader as well.

I believe Lexington is Dale Ford '54 (1329 per NJ when he graduated; 1352 if you include 2 alumni games [which OHSAA at one time said counted] or 1354 based on the game by game details I was able to pull).

I should have know that. Dale Ford was a neighbor of my in-laws for years. Great guy. The Lexington program didn't have him listed for years. It does now on its team records page. Some other guys with over 1000 points include Tim Davis, Joey Zahn, Courtney Avery. Tom Scholl, Jeff Hoepner (sp.), Jon Sanderson, Adam Howell and Marc Kriesher. Saw everyone but Davis play.

If the site ran by awebgsu is correct, Stover is now sitting in Lexington's 11th place for all time scoring. Will probably be in the top 10 after his next game.

Big meeting today of the OCC with the Superintendents, Principals, and ADs about the future of the conference moving forward. Stay the same, add an 8th team, or expand to 10 or 12. Something is going to happen today!

Something is going to happen today! I predict a bunch of talk will happen today and tomorrow the OCC will be 7 schools. Do they have an option 8th? Who can get them to 10? Who can get them to 12?

Big Walnut can get them to 8 Dover, NP, Louisville can get them to 10. Those 3, and CCC in the East, BW, Shelby, or Marion Harding in the West.

Big Walnut has pulled their interest in coming north. As they grow they now want to stay more central.
Marion Harding is not leaving their smaller school league any time soon.

The league stays at status quo as West Holmes rejects all options. Maybe it's time to move on from West Holmes.

So it seems that Lexington, in addition to West Holmes voted NO on every vote yesterday as well. Medina Buckeye was the possible 8th member. The expansion ideas were all voted down by WH and Lex. Guess they are waiting for CF to re-consider!

Why not revisit the old OHC. Give me good reasons this wouldn't work. Shelby, Ontario, Madison, Ashland, Lexington, Mt Vernon, Harding, and Senior. Small d2 to big d4 in football, small d1 to d2 in basketball. All other sports are the same. Improved gates. More money for other sports. What's wrong with this scenario? What adjustments could be made?

What adjustments could be made? I like the idea behind this and will make some very good rivalries but I don't think that Harding would want to leave the MOAC since they are the biggest school there. I'm not sure on this but another reason might be also the travel time. Most of the MOAC is pretty cluster right now with North Union leaving and Shelby coming in. That's my 2 cents on this. It might be right or it might be wrong who knows but this does make a good conversation and maybe start some thinking about this. Anybody else.

I think you may be correct dfa. Plus Ontario wants nothing to do with a league and half of the teams mentioned. When Delaware Hayes, Buckeye Buckeye Valley, Mount Vernon and Big Walnut put something together, other schools will be looking for options.

When Delaware Hayes, Buckeye Buckeye Valley, Mount Vernon and Big Walnut put something together, other schools will be looking for options. More untruths from scootyDude. Ontario plays or has played 6 of 8 of the schools mentioned. Ontario and others don't trust the OHC. Ontario, Shelby, Clear Fork and Galion were interested when the OHC said they would put together an East/West two Division league. Failure, voted down by existing members. An embarrassment for those schools to put their trust in the OCC schools. Now Lex is voting everything down? Even more of a reason for lack of trust. Mt.Vernon wants to go east and south. Big Walnut is growing so fast they're interest is staying with the Ohio Central. Delaware Hayes?? At 633 boys in the top 3 grades they're double the size of Buckeye Valley. The only interest to join that group would be DI schools from Central Ohio.
