On the surface I hate the idea of trading him to the Celtics but this trade has some promise. IF Thomas can fully recover from the hip issues and Crowder continues to defend and shot like he did against the Cavs. With a potential rim protector to develop for a year or two and then a 2018 early pick. I can see this working out.

More trades coming I think. Cavs have too many players now and a valuable draft pick they can trade.

Cavs are definitely in an interesting spot now with that Brooklyn 1st round pick in the 2018 draft. If Lebron is leaving, you hold that pick and draft a stud. If Lebron is staying, then perhaps you move that pick for an established player. It would certainly help if Lebron made his intentions known, but that isn't likely to happen.

Look for the Cavs to trade LeBron to Golden State for AI and Draymond. This is Cleveland after all.
Cavs starting 5 will be Isaiah Thomas Jae Crowder Draymond Green Derrick Rose Kevin Love
6th man - Andre Iguodala

Happy Trails Kyrie. Sad to see my fav NBA player go. Thanks for having ice water in your veins.
It's always a trump card when you get a title, but a part of me will always wonder what it would have been like to watch Kyrie and Wiggins play together for the next however many years.
Kind of a bummer day. Never quite seen anyone like Kyrie. For a player his size to finish like he does and NEVER get blocked, it's an amazing skillset and one I will miss watching.

They laughed in the face of the CAV's new GM.

I am SHOCKED the CAVs got as much as they did Kyrie, who was in essence a dead man walking.

For him to stay they will need to package it and trade for a proven player.

Great day for Cleveland. You can't have a guy on your team who does not want to be there anymore. KI was solid but this trade was a +++ for Cleveland.

Those were the exact words of a talking head on ESPN about 5 days ago. Two days ago a guy asked if it happened on a call in, the same exact answer was given. You SHOULD know a lot of trade suggestion calls are made by GM's, just to feel out the landscape.....or maybe you don't.

You should work for ESPN so you could disagree with them on the air.

Of course, if your first or last name is the same as any Confederate soldier, they'd turn down your application.

With the injury, he got what he asked for. Now dealing with 3-4 very young players who do not care if Kyrie is the man could be a topic down the road.

Smell ya layer dude. Have fun losing to Cleveland in the playoffs C Close. He'll be busy watching the playoffs. At least he was healthy in 2016. Maybe the best thing to happen to Cleveland was Kyrie wanting out with his glass legs.
