I am hearing that Monroeville is done this year. The plan was for the conference schools to make up missed games by October 30th, not necessarily on the 30th. If a team were still in playoffs that weekend, the game would not be made up.

Heavy Drop, no disrespect intended but you may not want to list St. Paul injuries in detail, especially with names.

Too bad Willard doesn't have a successful former head coach in the building who took a team to the state championship? If they did, they could pursue him. And it would be even better if he was a great guy, with a great reputation, and was a Willard grad.

It will be interesting to see what Mapleton brings to the table with Mahaney leaving for Shelby. I know they have the Hartley kid coming back, not sure about what else. Anyone heard anything on Crestview job officially?

Fox used to coach at Columbian as an assistant. From what I hear, he got along just fine with Columbian. No extra motivation, just a big game heading into the playoffs.

What are people s thoughts tgis upcoming season. I have a few to share. 1. St. Paul lost a talented senior class. They bring back 2 nice running backs, but will be breaking in a new qb 2. Mapleton has all Ohio 4 year starter at qb back, with some talented skill players. 3. Dont know a lot about new london or western, but that they have new coaches, both of which i ve heard good things about. 4. The young coach has taken some nice steps at south central, but will they be able to continue to progress. 5. Monroeville has been much improved the last 3 years. They bring back a decent amount, but lost both leroux's. 6. Crestview lost a huge senior class but still has the best numbers in the conference. 7. Plymouth did very well the first year they ran the double wing, but they lost Bailey.
I honestly think the conference us wide open.

Chris is an excellent basketball coach. He knows the game and how to fit his players into a system. What he is even better at is molding boys into men. He is a leader by example. St. Mary's is very fortunate to get him. He coached my son in the past, and he absolutely loved him. Chris gets kids to work hard, while being positive and uplifting.

Calvert beat st paul in 2010, 2011, and 20012 twice, once in playoffs. St paul missed playoffs in 2010 and 2011. Calvert made regional finals in 2002

I am disappointed in myself for getting sucked into this argument. He made playoffs 7 years in a row. How is that average at best? Without researching extensively i dont know of an area team who has matched that. Weak schedule, weak region, too many points on playoff losses, not winning against teams without winning records just seems to be a way to distract from the fact that he wins every year at a place that struggled before he got there. Let s not forget their enrollment has dropped significantly. I ve seen them play several times. They play hard and are well coached

Name a coach with 4 wins in a row vs St. Paul since Coach Livengood took over in 1992. Todd Fox is it. Not giving a lot of credibility to the last post. Before Fox took over Calvert didn't make the playoffs for 7 or 8 straight years. He was also successful as Willard wrestling coach. I doubt dumb luck and a supposedly soft schedule are the reasons for his success.
