Is this only for non school affiliated teams? its for all OHSAA football teams.. you're now allowed to do 7 on 7 11 months a year.. (28 day no contact still in place after season ends)

one cross over between bay - lake one between river and bay. best of both worlds.. I mean an actual schedule. What week do each of these crossovers take place? Which schools play which schools specifically? Who do the schools not involved in the crossovers play when the crossovers are occuring? What weeks do the regular season conference games occur for each team? (Hint: I'm forcing you to think through the actual logistics of this idea, to perhaps help you understand why it doesn't actually happen) it doesn't happen because the river said NO. time and time again. with the river dividing up in a North-South it would allow them more non-conference games or in this case cross overs. example calvert plays lucas in week 5 that could be vermilion instead... gibsonburg plays cory rawson in week 10 that could be port clinton instead, margaretta plays edon in week 4, that could be huron instead. ect.

i do have a problem with how the SBC has agreed to mix and match.. Fine, if they and willard want to stay river. fine.. but don't force the bay to play a cross over with the lake. unless you're going to force the river to do a crossover with the bayCan you provide an example of what the schedule for that would look like? one cross over between bay - lake one between river and bay. best of both worlds..

Learned over the weekend the passing of long time Norwalk teacher/coach Ron Deluca. Ron coached several sports at Norwalk, including football. His two sons Tom, and Max were standout athletes for the Truckers.. Ron was a great guy. Very well liked and will be missed. My best to his family and friends. Did Ron attend Bellevue HS? i believe graduated from bellevue mid 60's

i have never had a problem with them not wanting to play us.. i do have a problem with how the SBC has agreed to mix and match.. Fine, if they and willard want to stay river. fine.. but don't force the bay to play a cross over with the lake. unless you're going to force the river to do a crossover with the bay. I wonder what would happen if Edison or Huron wanted in the River. it would get voted down

Huron (154 boys) and Margaretta (134 boys) Both need week 4 games next season, Yet Margaretta won't play Huron, But would rather travel a great distance for a game,To avoid playing Huron. Many Castalians are unhappy about that decision, Hopefully they won't need any school levies passed over there. They may not get the support they need for being that stupid. I heard some grumbling about that last night at the basketball game in the cafeteria by some Margaretta Fans. i have never had a problem with them not wanting to play us.. i do have a problem with how the SBC has agreed to mix and match.. Fine, if they and willard want to stay river. fine.. but don't force the bay to play a cross over with the lake. unless you're going to force the river to do a crossover with the bay.

Are their complaints about the SBC divisions in sports other than football? Who really cares what division Margaretta is in for non-football sports? It's not like they have reeled off 4 or 5 consecutive conference championships (except maybe in some girls sports). its about principles. you allow certain schools to do whatever they please, and you hold a pitchfork to others and force what they dont want to do. when simple solution is 18 football schools divide by 3 equals 6.. when you do that it would put margaretta in the bay, they say NO. and i don't think there are complaints other than football. i mean i have my own opinion on how things are.. such as sbc track meet. but thats nothing compared to this football bs

You’d think the Lake schools wouldn’t want to play small Div. 6 schools but here we are. . Everyone is protecting themselves. So yes knowing how easy it is to make the playoffs. Makes it easier to schedule down. The problem is there is very little depth at smaller size. And that’s a fight I will take sides with in Margaretta issue. They lose a kid like Washington. They’re toast.

Word is Ross won't join the Lake despite being under 400 boys, but compete against school 200+ in NLL? Call me silly Silly! Ross should be in the Lake right? i mean 393 boys for Ross, and they're too big for the Lake? yet the Bay with 140 / 150 is expected to play Tiffin and Sandusky who are 300 and 370.. What part of this stinks? You'd think Biden was president of the SBC because to him this would make all the sense in the world.

So are you telling me that the 3 Divisions aren’t based on enrollments? . I’m telling you the league leaders are afraid to make someone mad. No nothing is done by enrollment. And eventually the River is going to break off and them Margaretta is going to have to choose. They have the bulls by the horn because they get the best of both worlds. The River is a tougher basketball division but the bay is a tougher football division. They won’t go total River. Only partial. So. None of these leaders have the balls to stand up to it. Simple as that

do sportswriters really do this with a fine tooth comb?
what would be the reason Africentric isn't #1 in D-3? maxpreps put them 2nd seed in the central which is a joke as well...
after seeing loudonville in person tonight. gibsonburg is better, Vermilya is special but their team only gets to state because their best regional opponents would be new london or danbury...

If the OHSAA proposal passes, (and im believing it will) there will soon be 7 divisions in sports like boys and girls basketball, with the top 64 teams making up Division I, the next 64 making up Division 2, and the rest are spread equally as possible for Divisions 3 thru 7...
Ideal breakdown with this years enrollment looks something like D-1 1251 to 570 D-2 565 to 411 D-3 410 to 266 D-4 265 to 191 D-5 190 to 135 D-6 134 to 92 D7 92 to 13

OH MY! He is not shy is he? Not sure I understand where he is coming from however. Why is it wrong to play someone in your region? And schedules are set up before the Regions are determined. I'd love to talk to this guy one on one. I could get where he might find Perkins asking that to be disrespectful. They are essentially asking Glenville to prep them for the R14 regional title game. What coach in their right mind is going to sign up for that? “ Hey coach, we really struggled in the first quarter to adjust to your size and speed. Any chance you’d play us regular season so we can be ready come playoff time?” To the right coach that just might be highly insulting. Maybe, asking them to play is disrespectful? and its week 2 of the season.. which they were looking for. I just wonder what is disrespectful? is it their on field behavior? is it their fans on talk boards? is it asking to play? Glenville plays all D-1 thru D3 teams during the season. And they too have played within their own region before during regular season(2021 Reg 13 Lake Catholic) For Ginn To bring this out in a public forum to talk about it. Classless. Just say NO and move on... Nope he had to throw the Race Card out one more time. Just don't get it..

www.youtube.com/live/3447joB9oaU?si=H9zenM83nKE9nQtQComments start around the forty minute mark. I’m assuming the entire segment is related directly to Perkins but he talks about Perkins around the forty two minute mark. Ginn’s been around for fifty years so to get called the most disrespectful program he’s ever seen is really something. OH MY! He is not shy is he? Not sure I understand where he is coming from however. Why is it wrong to play someone in your region? And schedules are set up before the Regions are determined. I'd love to talk to this guy one on one.

Michigan fans are really starting to scare me....
they're so bitter over this they have gone from total denial to what are you going to do about it?
So, you moved past denial and now wish to bully your way around?? LOL
they vacate wins from you and you suggest who cares we know who won? on the field illegally you sure did win!
i knew something was very ODD when they took the rest of the covid season off when things were not going well... It was a way to stop the train wreck... and then come back 9 months later like popeye who just ate his spinach? all the sudden harbaugh figured it out? he sure did figure it out.. he figured if he could get a jump on what you was in to counter it he would benefit from it...
scUM goes deaper then just the team,,, it also covers the coaches.. they're all scums !!!

umm. jv team had a good year..frosh team played a monster schedule and did fine.. jr high struggled.. with that said these group of seniors did not win many games in junior high. they didnt win many on jv.. but here they are with maybe huron's strongest schedule in quite some time. got some talent coming back to work with.. will see what kind of time they put in to it.. the classes continue to get smaller D-6 is not far from the future. Bellevue seems to be in same boat regarding Middle School, but once the Catholic K-8 become Frosh and merge into HS, it's a different story lets see what kickball does to them.. does it pick up steam.. does it become an actual sport or stay a club sport?

Does Huron have any good talent coming up? I read that they lose 16 seniors after this year. Not sure about Freshman and JV, but I heard from my nephew that their junior high levels are pretty down compared to years past. Things could get pretty bad over in Tiger town in years to come. In the Legando era you didn't see too many untalented classes, so it is sort of sad to hear that. umm. jv team had a good year..frosh team played a monster schedule and did fine.. jr high struggled.. with that said these group of seniors did not win many games in junior high. they didnt win many on jv.. but here they are with maybe huron's strongest schedule in quite some time. got some talent coming back to work with.. will see what kind of time they put in to it.. the classes continue to get smaller D-6 is not far from the future.

these guys and oak harbor has the makings for a classic.. neat little stadium (and i do mean little) they play a very good fundamentally sound brand of football.. their defense is 11 hats to the ball immediately.. and that sets the tone for them for the night...

I don’t think they have. The only Playoff History Huron has with an NWOAL was Archbold, 1987 in Fremont. A game I happen to attend. Actually there is another team who was in the NWOAL at the time and that was Montpelier in 1993 and they were carved up mightily by the tigers like 13-7 or something like that. they put a stop to their one man wrecking crew on offense david rose. the tigers then took out a tough carey team a week later, huron barely got by a awesome hawken team and that set the stage for an epic showdown with the versailles tigers in which my brother and i were in attendance. i didnt go to huron but my cousin did and we were witness to a hard fought game in versailles came out the victor. actually we beat Carey at Strobel field first. then went to clay and beat Montpelier, Rose was a stud he went on to play some at BGSU. played Hawken at Finnie Stadium in Berea, before running into a buzz saw in Versailles at Massillon ..
