They could have packed it in after the 1st quarter or after going down two scores in the 4th but fought back hard. Brown's coaching staff did a great job and players made plays. Tillman's block on Van Moy was nasty, but he took his return shot from them a few plays later. Loved the push play in the final drive. Never led until it mattered most.

Watched the game today and Austin Carr wasn’t doing the commentating and it sucked. John Micheal and Mike Fratello put me to sleep. I need Austin Carr’s “Throw the hammer down” or • “He caught himself a bird!”. "Get that weak stuff outta here!"

Lol...ever is a long time and maybe I should have been a coach. I only repeated what I was saying last night during the game. whether you believe that or not is up to you. But thanks for the chuckle!

Yes, the LSU-FSU was an exciting finish. Couldn't believe FSU called a risky pitch out that nearly cost them the game instead of something conservative, to burn clock or burn LSU TOs, and go up by two scores, even if you had to settle for a FG. I would have gone for 2 and the win if was coaching LSU. They were on a roll. Fun ending to watch.

Good point..I forgot it was 4th down on the last TD. They probably would have attempted a FG to tie. Maybe he gets it through, maybe not. I have lost confidence in him over the past month. They needed to burn clock at the end and couldn't do it.

Turned out that missed FG at end of first half was a big deal

Auburn should have gone for 2 and the win at the end of the 1st OT. Prob their best chance.

Turnovers were a problem for OSU and so was the disparity at the charity stripe (+10 pts). The loss of Young to fouls was big too. Sotos got flattened late in the game in front of a ref and didn't get the call. Bucks get Duke at home next week.

This proves Ryan Day knows what he's talking about. He said this is going to be a tough, physical game. I was impressed with PSU's line play. I can't knock our defense, they kept everything contained. kept everything in front of them and didn't give up the big play. What helped PSU, they were getting away with a lot of holding and largely, it was ignored. Denzel defended his All-American counterpart very well all game. Think we seen a dose of Tressel ball tonight. Very conservative, low risk, ball control football. I would liked to have seen more deep passes than what we saw, but Ryan was gearing things to possession ball. Most importantly, we got the job done and got the 'W'.

It was great to see the defense playing aggressively, especially young players, afforded by having this game on the schedule and being able to play it in full this year. The residual effect of lost opportunities for game experience from 2020 has contributed to the early performance of this team in 2021.

Wow what a win. Got down 11 in the second half and eventually went up 7 late in the game. The turning point was Ahrens coming in and knocking down 3 threes late in the second half. That was big, and so was Washington hitting back to back 3's to cut lead to single digits before Ahren's shots.

Interesting times. Might just as well get it over with. Teams can be named after animals or plants, inert matter, weather, fictional characters, or possibly human professions. No perceived slurs of derogatory intent toward human groups are tolerable any longer at any level. Goodbye Yankees! 😏

ESPN reports that former player Isaiah Humphries has filed a federal lawsuit against Franklin and others at Penn State, claiming they ignored reports of sexual hazing by Micah Parsons and other players. Apparently, the university has investigated and found no evidence of such hazing. Will be interesting to see where this ends up.

If Clemson routs LSU (shudder the thought), OSU's missed opportunity for another NC will really sting. This was one of OSU's best teams. They damn near pulled out that win despite self-inflicted pain and a couple of calls. It could have been game over by halftime. Hope they come back hungry and determined this fall.

Fair point. Other officials have now weighed in about the fumble and think they got it wrong. There wasn't indisputable evidence in the eyes of their own peers. It was a great game between two of the best teams in the country and a key play made by participants was nullified. Doesn't sit well with me, but life goes on and unfortunately we will never know if OSU could have defeated LSU in the final.

Really tough pill to swallow. OSU won the major stats (first downs, rushing yds, passing yds, TOP) by a convincing margin but not the scoreboard. The two drops by JK were killers, should have been 24-0 and probably one possession away from putting it away. That deficit would have been a huge obstacle to overcome. The targeting and fumble over-turn were game changing calls by the refs. Even Herbie was questioning the fumble ruling. Despite all of that, OSU still had a great chance to win at the end. A final mistake did them in. Wish the D could have made that one last stop. I will root for Joe B in the final and could care less who wins.

My son,who BTW had $100 speeding ticket for going 28 in a 25 school zone as a 16 year old years ago.. BS rule he paid, asked me the simple question... Why didn't the GF just get the loan and leave Chase Young out of it? Chase could have easily orchestrated it and no harm no foul. If I was the loaner, I'd like my chances of getting re-paid by Chase more than I would the GF.

I wondered if the early dropped long ball by Victor B might come back to haunt them but it didn't matter. He had a step, might have scored. He atoned for it later.
Overall, a good test for OSU. Sparty played hard and physical. They failed to capitalize on opportunities that could have made this a closer game and had too many TOs. All in all, a solid win for the Bucks.

Like the trade. Puig in RF,Reyes at DH, should boost offense. Wonder if an OF is on trade block now. Naquin might bring some young talent for future.

So, what to think of this new direction? Rick is gone, off to continue his story in some feature length made for TV films.....and now we're about to jump ahead several years where Judith is about 10 And walkers have evolved, can speak and think.

Players used to take out insurance policies to cover their potential financial loss due to injury and would finish out there college seasons. That must not be the case anymore.

After seeing the two pictures that were used by the NFL to overturn the call, I still believe it was insufficient evidence to do so. That call prevented a Brown's victory, but the loss was on the Browns. Thought they might still pull it with 14 seconds to go, a timeout, and needing 20 yds for a FG attempt, but Baker under threw his deep receiver for the INT. Turn the page, get ready for the Ravens.

What a game! Tough D from both teams but big plays were mixed in as well. Three dropped balls early hurt the OSU offense killed momentum, including a screen to Paris. Like Whittaker said, they didn't try a screen again until 3rd qtr. Shades of TCU game when WR screens opened things up. PSU could have used the 3 pts they eschewed to get a 1st down around the OSU 20 yd line in the 2nd half with OSU up 14-13. They dropped some key passes too. McSorely played his tail off and I was stunned they took it out of his hands at the end. Ben Victor, wow, what a huge play. Baron Browning seemed MIA the whole evening, expecting big things from him. Thank god they aren't playing at Iowa or Mich St next weekend.

Dorsey has done a great job since he arrived. I can't recall feeling this much optimism that they are finally moving forward as a franchise. They aren't where they need to be yet, but many of the pieces seem to be in place and I have faith that they will continue addressing weaknesses in the roster, coaching staff, and front office. Finally having a ball-hawking D has been especially notable. Greg Williams gets a lot of credit for that. I believe he was hired by Hue under Sashi, not Dorsey, but Dorsey has definitely improved the roster, both sides of the ball.

I would hope that Tyrod acknowledges the difference in team performance once Baker entered the game. It was stark. That should make Hue's decision even easier. Teams will be prepping for Baker now. It will be interesting to see counter adjustments by Haley.
