This is the 112th meeting in what is Ohio's 2nd oldest rivalry. Sandusky leads the all time series 54-49-8 and won last year's game 40-8

Not surprisingly I'm taking the Little Giants in a close game.

From the Fremont News Messenger: Sandusky (2-0) visits Ross this week. “It makes the game a little sweeter,” Ross Head coach Chad Long said. “We’re both 2-0. We’re excited. Our kids believed we’d be 2-0 playing Sandusky.” “They have a lot of speed on offense and defense,” Long said. “They’re not big, but they’re fast. We’re going to run the ball at them. “We have to get back to running the football Hopefully, we can wear them down. Even the quarterback plays on defense. “We’re preparing for their speed. We see this a lot like Springfield. We’re prepared for any trickery. It’s a rivalry game.”

End of 1st: Sandusky 3, Ross 0 End of Half: Sandusky 3, Ross 12
With 4 min to go and Ross up 15-10, Ross forces Sandusky to punt out of their own endzone. What happens? Ross roughs the punter, gives the ball back to Sandusky who drives down the field and wins the game with a TD pass. 16-15 final. So many stupid mistakes in this game on both sides.

It sounds like Ross absolutely blew this game in the first six minutes. Hotz drops a punt on the 1-yard line and forces a 3-and-out. Ross roughs the punter to give Sandusky new life. Sandusky gets a 42-yard pass and scores a few plays later.
Ross has to hope this somehow doesn't cost them a playoff spot down the road.

Game of the ages for one of Ohio's oldest rivalries. No 2 or 3 touchdown sandusky win it took late 4 qtr drive by a great program too beat a very physical and talented Fremont team. This game featured a great ross defense, Sanduskys talent, Ross's talent. Ross has a phenominal safety/ punter in Noah hotz who probably go to college to pumt ( all Ohio as a junior punter. He had a pick of Alexander and great job punting.A Ross offense that will only improve as year goes on.Hayden had a great game fora junior throwing 1 td pass and 1 pick.Hayden's 3 rd start of year. Alexander shows his great abilities and struggles with fremont.
Just a great game by BOTH teams, hated to see a loser. We gotta get ready for findlay, good luck blue streaks rest of year

Tough loss. It was as simple as leaving the punter alone, and Ross comes out 3-0, and SHS 2-1. Can't leave points on the field as well. I think Ross was inside SHS 10 yard line 3x in the game, and could muster only 3 points, especially right before halftime.

Maplecity, Ross is very very very good team there gonna have kids playing college from that defense 1 is a soph DE.Yes we did leave points but most important we can learn from it. Coach long has his style of play he likes defense first mentality. Offensively they gotta cohesive and they will. This is Hayden's 3 rd start. Were you at game?

So they go from 3-7 last year to a very very very good team after 3 games this year? Put the kool aid down please. They are improved yes but they still have the big dogs of the TRAC to play. And can we please have just 1 season without all the hype. Its been this way at Ross for what seems like 15 years. Or at least as long as certain ppl discovered the internet....

Ross has the athletes to hang with Sandusky and they did which positioned them to almost get the win. Sandusky doesn't play the competition Ross does either which makes a big difference. I think Ross goes 5-5.

I think Ross goes 5-5. I agree sandusky doesn't play the same competition as Ross but you also need to realize that Fremont has 300-400 more kids at there high school as well. Sandusky was asked to join the TRAC when Fremont did and j am glad they declined.

Good info, little inaccurate because some of those boys go to an alternative school but are still counted in the numbers. 150 boys is a huge difference.

Agree. 150 boys in top three grades is a very big difference. That's 50 boys per grade level and if you can get a handful of contributors along with a blue chip or two from each class it's a big deal.

Although my 2 sons are Truckers through and through, my oldest had been hounding me since mid-summer to see his 1st Fremont-Sandusky game, and see what it was all about. He was not disappointed, lol. Both really enjoyed the atmosphere, and of course, they enjoyed their old man treating them Denny's after the game, ha ha.
