BellevueBuckeye, thanks for this list - it's very handy.
Those Oklahoma games were a great idea. Two big-name programs meeting again for the first time in decades. And, of course, tons of revenue. Should be fun to watch.
It's interesting that 2017 is the only season (so far) that OSU opens with a Big Ten opponent. That hasn't happened in a while.
And in 2022 and 23, Notre Dame AND Texas in the same season. Wow!

Ohio State has added Bowling Green to the 2020 schedule. The game will be played on Sept. 5, one week before the Buckeyes travel to Eugene, OR to take on the Ducks. OSU now has 2 of the 3 non conference games for 2020 scheduled, and the B1G schedule for that year has not yet been determined, though assuming the current rotation continues OSU will have 5 home and 4 away games in conference play.
BGSU will be played $1.2 million for the game.

Several changes have recently been made to Ohio State's future schedule:
1. There is no longer a home and home vs TCU for 2018-2019. There will now just be one game against TCU in 2018, played at Jerry World in Arlington. This was the Cowboys idea, and they are reportedly paying each school $5 million.
2. TCU's former spot on the 2019 schedule has been filled with Miami Ohio. The non conference schedule that year is now Florida Atlantic, Cincinnati and Miami Ohio, which will be the first time OSU has not played a current power 5 team in the non conference schedule since 1934.
3. A home and home with Washington has been scheduled for 2024-2025.
4. The home and home with Boston College has been moved to 2026-2027.
5. Tulsa has been added to the 2021 schedule.

TCU won't travel to Columbus, but we are willing to travel to Texas. I would drop them altogether.....screw you. I expect Cincinnati to prosper in the coming years, but surely it's not too late to upgrade the current schedule for 2019.

If so then I don't mind the no return game. Ohio State has a quite a few Texas players that their families will get to see them and also will be an opportunity for recruits to come watch.

2017, what a patty-cake schedule for OSU

Playing TCU in AT&T Stadium, the finest football facility on the planet was a great schedule.
The home and away with Texas should be huge in 2022 & 2023, as Tom Herman should have the Longhorns in a position of prominence by then.
Both, should serve to further enhance our recruiting presence and efforts in the state of Texas.

2017, what a patty-cake schedule for OSU Very few school will play AT Ohio State. They either absolutely refuse or want be paid a couple million. To pay for football and ALL other sports at The OSU, the football team must play 7 home games to break even. Last year the Big Ten increased the number of league game played to 9. Which means some years Ohio State will only have 6 home games, thus making it more difficult to schedule away games against top tier teams.

Sucks for season ticket holders. Sucks more for some than others. Other than students, just to have the right to buy 2 tickets to 4 home games, one must contribute $25,000+ to OSU/year. To have the right to buy 2 tickets to 2 home games, one must contribute between $24,999 - $15,000/year. If you buy the right to purchase tickets to 4 games you're guaranteed a "big" game. If you buy the right to purchase tickets to 2 games, there are no guarantees which 2 games you get. Now, you still have to pay for the tickets. This year the Oklahoma tickets start at $190 each, Penn State is $140 and the other games range from $65 - $80. Some season ticket holders are grandfathered into a different set of rules, but when that holder dies, the old deal goes away. There are "special" deals. Parents of players get tickets to each game. The Governor and State Senators and Representatives get "special" deals.

Not if they decide to play 3 home non-conference games Which is exactly what they have done for 2017 and 2019 and will most likely do for 2021 and probably 2025 as well. OSU clearly made sure that the away games for the Oklahoma, TCU, Oregon, Texas & Washington series all fell on the even years when OSU only has 4 B1G away games, so that they could still have 7 home games each year. The exception to this is when they added the Notre Dame series on top of the Texas series, which will mean that 2023 will only have 6 home games....so they must have figured the unique opportunity to play both Texas and Notre Dame in consecutive seasons was more important than avoiding a year with only 6 home games. As for the Boston College series, not sure what's going on there as it breaks the trend of putting the away games on the even years. Could mean they plan on having 8 home games in 2026 to make up for only having 6 in 2027 (not sure if there is a limit on how many home games you can have), or maybe that they'll add another home and home on top of it like the Texas/ND setup. And of course, any of these future schedules can be completely changed as has happened many times in the past.

201809/01 vs Oregon State 09/08 vs Rutgers 09/15 @ TCU - at AT&T Stadium 09/22 vs Tulane 09/29 @ Penn State 10/06 vs Indiana 10/13 vs Minnesota 10/20 @ Purdue 11/03 vs Nebraska 11/10 @ Michigan State 11/17 @ Maryland 11/24 vs Michigan OSU should drop TCU, move Maryland to 9/15 and schedule Mercer 11/17. ALL top tier Power Five Conference schools MUST schedule like Alabama or they'll always will be out and Alabama gets in.
ALL non-league games must be against MAC caliber and DII schools. NEVER play a non-league game on the road.
You're absolutely right, immediately cancel all non-league games on future schedules against Power Five Conferences schools and schedule MAC schools, Youngstown State and Ashland U. They LOVE their Million $ payday. More home games means more money for the athletic department

Take care of busines and win the games you should and your in. Does Iowa ring a bell. OSU didn't get in because OSU scheduled Oklahoma and lost. If they scheduled the way Washington did last year and Alabama this year than OU would have been replaced with an FCS school, easy win. 12-1 Big Ten Champs get in every time. In 2016 Oklahoma didn't get in because OU scheduled Ohio State and lost, had OU scheduled the Sisters of the Poor instead then Oklahoma would have made the playoffs. The Committee has made it clear, schedule cupcakes in non-conf like Washington and Alabama. If you schedule someone good and lose you are out.

Do not schedule New Mexico State, That could be a 'trap' game, as was Iowa. Schedule Terra Tech instead.

Mercer and Tennessee Chattanooga is always available....just ask Nick Saban. Schedule cupcakes and have a EIGHT game conference schedule, like the eSECpn and ACC.....Jim Delaney did not do the Big Ten any favors.....what crossover game cost Ohio State? Iowa obviously.....Lets see smilin; Gene Smith earn his money and drop Oregon State and TCU and replace them NOW. You and I know what will happen ,.... atoo week a schedule. Can't get in. Lets face reality boys....it's Bama and tne eSECpn league running things....no one else

Buffalo has been added to the 2020 schedule and Akron to 2021, which completes the schedules for those two years.
And in bigger news, the Texas home and home has been pushed back to 2025 and 2026, which will make make it exactly 20 years from the last home and home between Ohio State and Texas. Previously the Texas series was scheduled for the exact same 2 years as the Notre Dame series.

I've updated the first post to include the Big Ten schedules for 2022 thru 2025, which were announced at the beginning of this season
There will still be 9 conference games those 4 years, and Ohio State's permanent crossover will be Wisconsin (it's currently Nebraska thru 2021)

This year's game at Northwestern has been moved to a Friday night (Week 7 - October 18) College football, stay out of Friday nights! Friday night has been exclusive to high school football and should always be respected as such.
