Well Shelby won again with no problem!! I see someone said Armstrong was in with 7:00 to go in game, my question also is WHY!! I know everyone is a coach in the stands but I said a while back why starters are in there so long. Well one of the starting lineman is out with broken arm and this happened late in game when non starters should have been playing!!! I also don't understand why the are leaving SBC, the only travel time would be football, all the other sports would be no different than the old NOL Is it just football because they are going to MOAC!! I still say OCC would have been better!! Just opinion off a coach in the stands!!!! The Shelby lineman got hurt in the 3rd quarter against Bellevue. How are the starters supposed to get game reps and conditioned for 4 quarters if they only play a half each game. New center, QB has played 7 quarters this season, but Shelby is supposed to sit guys early? Give me a break

All this talk about Shelby starters playing the 3rd quarter in this game...what about Norwalk keeping their starters in the whole game? They still have a shot at the playoffs, and technically still have a shot at the division title...in a game that was clearly over, why would they run the risk of one of their starters getting injured? Do we really think they would have a shot without #28 if he were to get hurt??

OCC members put it to a vote and said vote must be unanimous in order to accept Shelby...but West Holmes said NO...so Shelby wasn't allowed to join OCC. That is a fact. Injuries can happen at anytime during a game...not just when, in your opinion, non-starters should be in. Getting game reps for starters who have been out for several games is very important as well as when u have a new starter on the OL and a 3 year starter at C (and 2 time all league center) who gets moved to a new position, they need all the reps with the first unit they can get. Wasn't that before Clear Fork, left the OCC and Mt.Vernon joined? Mt.Vernon being twice as far from Shelby compared to Clear Fork and more than twice the size of Clear Fork.

Not quite fact. Shelby wanted to be accepted by a 100% vote. When WH showed some hesitation Shelby gave up. It's to bad because this would have been a good move for both Shelby teams and the OCC sports. Mt Vernon was in favor of this and Clear Fork was already moving on so it would have continued the idea of strong competition between member teams.

Sounds like Shelby was looking for a way out and a way to save face. If I REALLY wanted in a league I would let a little "hesitation" by one school get in my way.
