I personally wouldn't kneel, but after hearing Trump call my brothers-teammates SoB's I think I would for just one day. Instead of pouring gasoline on the problem maybe Trump should should try listening to people on how we can fix our social problems? Just a thought

He called the kneel'rs SoB. Here is my basic take. Sometimes we forget these pro players are at work during games. Like everyone I think they have the right to protest anything they feel strong enough about. But do it on your free time, not at work. That's how I took our president's speech.

Maybe. Or maybe if they were white he would look the other way like he did that mess in Charlottesville. Until real action is taken to cleanup the racial divide in this country this will keep going and I don't have a problem with peaceful protest. 1st amendment gives us that power

I wish the players cared about the over 1,300 murdered people in the city of Chicago since 2016, like they do this so called racial injustice.
The real injustice isnt there is enough LEO's in this country to protect all the innocent people.
I guess I am wondering how do we fix the racial divide. Allow someone of color who is breaking the law to slip by??? I think we forget the job of the law enforcement in this country.
I am a huge believer in statistics and facts I'm going to side with those before I side with butt hurt indivIduals.

He didn't look the other way. He condemned all violence, both sides, which there was. Antifa was there assaulting people left and right, but I guess you didn't see that on CNN. The racial divide is happening because too many black people keep making bad choices and then want to blame white America for it.

The Americans fans have already started their protest. Attendance is dropping and so is viewership. Before it's through, the cost to the NFL owners and players for their snubbing of the men and women who died protecting freedom will be astounding I predict. I can't wait to start seeing half filled stadiums soon. That should send a strong message I would think.

If you don't like the what the NFL players are doing don't watch it. Pretty sure the NFL (a multi-billion dollar company) will do fine with bigot not watching it. With that being said I think all you white, middle class individuals need to look in the mirror and think about how you act towards minoities. When's the last time you had a genuine convo with a minority? Do you see a minority do something you disagree with and say, "a white person wouldnt do that?" Why did you tell me to blow a dick? Do you think using comments using homosexual connotations is funny? This is the exact thing these athletes are protesting. It's not the flag or the anthem, it's bigots like you

Every day. I work in a very diverse company. And guess what STAND FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM. Boycott the NFL. Keep calling everyone you disagree with a bigot and watch Trump win again in 2020. Science, when you are born with XY chromosomes and a dangle between your legs you are a man. Anti-Science left you get to choose what you are. Science, only a human women can have a human baby. Anti-Science left an actual headline "Man has a healthy baby" Trump, Trump, Trump. You anti-science, calling everyone you disagree with a bigot, leftists are destroying this country. STAND FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM or get out. Maybe a little time in North Korea and you will stand for the National Anthem.

You have to understand that by invoking "patriotism" or the military in their minds they get to ignore what they are actually protesting. Would somebody please explain to me if the purpose of the anthem is to honor the military then why do they all have their own anthems? Don't believe me? Try dragging your patriotic selves to one of the many veteran memorial services in the cemeteries on Memorial Day and listen to your local band perform them.

^^^ The National Anthem is the umbrella Anthem of the United States of America.
Galion, Bellevue, Ohio State, etc all have unique anthem's they play after they score a TD, what they play at pep rallies, etc, but they UNITE under the National Anthem.

LOL never heard that one before when someone doesn't agree me. Where did you learn that one? Virtue signaling 101? I have a great idea. You and all the NFL athletes whom collectively make billions put your money where your large mouths are. Take 90% of your paychecks and start handing them out in these so called social injustice areas. Report back in a year if you make it and let me know how that goes.

So the NFL owners come out and basically blast Trump, while siding with their players. Yet none of those same owners are willing to sign Kapernick, the post child for the entire anthem fiasco. Can you say hypocrites? And my son attended the Browns/Colts game yesterday in Indy. He said the players got booed quite loudly when they kneeled, yet I didn't see that reported yesterday on the news (more selective reporting by the media).

You know what? Everyone is entitled to their opinion. We don't have to agree. Even though most of you think you have too. I'm good with it because of Matthew 7:2 says, "those who judge will be judged." (Paraphrased somewhat). I'll leave with this though. Ask yourself this question. With all the violence, drugs, natural disasters and I'll toss North Korea in since someone told me to go live there because I have different view on something than them, is kneeling during the national anthem really that awful? If your answer is yes great and it's no that's great too

It wasn't reported by the news programs that I watched, thanks for the correction bighoss. And I fully support your statement that we don't have to agree on this topic. However, those kneeling (and the NFL in general) will have to deal with the repercussions.

I believe we need to keep working and improving but in my life I have rarely seen a protest get credit for change. I have however seen change come from working together. I have a question also. How is kneeling during the National Anthem solving problems of violence, drugs, natural disasters and North Korea? Most of us only see it as disrespecting our country's flag and all those who died, served, fought, worked, suffered AND protested to make America a place many want to live. If I remember correct, the start of the kneeling protest was to give attention to police violence. Not drug, national disaster or North Korea.

I never said kneeling was solving any problems. I asked if kneeling is worse than violence, drugs, natural disasters and North Korea. Also a very key point you made is that most of you see kneeling as disrespectful. Can you name me one athlete that said their purpose was to disrespect our country?

Have you ever heard a drunk driver say his purpose in getting behind the wheel was to kill someone?
