Could be a couple shockers from that list.
Florida State is notorious for coming up short of expectations.
Texas is close to turning the corner and pull a shocker like last years Oklahoma game.
Clemson rolls.
Wisconsin is facing an opponent with superior talent, but this comes down to ball control and running the clock....LSU can do that.
Despite losing their illustrious QB from last year, Houston is capable of pulling off the shocker of the year at home. I would shock me.
USC at Bama gets me pumped, should be a good one, but Saban and the Tide at home is a ringer.

Right now - end of the first - an unranked Wisconsin is the one controlling the game vs LSU. We'll see how they fare over three more quarters, but it's nice to see the SEC come north even if it's for an early season game.

Now the end of the half and Wisky is up 6-0 on LSU. Fornette is not looking like there will be a Heisman this year...

Why don't you come off the bench and get in the Pick 'Em?

Why don't you come off the bench and get in the Pick 'Em? I will be next week. This weekend is already shot. We start back to school on Tuesday and it's always so busy this time of the year.

We started school on August 22.
I gave up my Cal season tickets a couple of years ago and, as of now, will only be attending the Texas game in a couple of weeks. I'm interested in seeing how the Longhorn fan base compares to the Buckeye hoards that invaded Telegraph Ave. in '13.

non-Conference records. The SEC is the only Power 5 to have any teams play a conference game so far. Conference | Record | Big Ten
| 12-2
| ACC
| 11-3
| Big XII
| 7-3
| Pac 12
| 7-5 | SEC | 6-6
|
A poor start by the SEC (6-6) and very close to an embarrassing 4-8. The SEC needed overtime to beat Appalachian State and squeaked out a 1 point win over La Tech. No worries though as Alabama is still the best team in the country and all that matters is the National Champion. The SEC will take that crown again this year which makes all SEC teams better than your team. It's the mantra we've been using for a decade now, as long as one of us is the Champ then all of us would kick your ***.

I can't determine if "big time" modifies "ca$h in" or "schooling". Either way, it was a great call. You know me, gotta throw in a little dig with a compliment. Still, that's the best prediction I've seen for awhile. Probably the best since I called the Cavs in 7.

So what do you guys think of this Tennessee vs. Virginia Tech game at Bristol Motor Speedway? Here's a comparison pic Bleacher Report posted to show just how much bigger Bristol is compared to Neyland Stadium...

it's going to suck unless they move seats closer to the field
like games at the Shoe used to suck when the track was between the field and the front row

When the track was removed they didn't move the stands closer to the field.

It does appear they moved seating in closer on the track. I see a lot of people in the crowd watching on their phones!

They sunk the field and added more stands at the shoe. I spent a couple of hours one day comparing photos because I didn't pay enough attention when they modified the stadium. I spent the night before the game in 1982 partying in the stadium dorms because I had a friend who lived there... And attended the next day on a borrowed student pass and the Buckeyes upset the weenies that day by 10! That place went nuts that night... And I was comparing photos trying to get the changes straight in my head from visits since that time... LOL!

The Bristol sham was like watching a Final Four Game in the Superdome. When Cal redid Memorial Stadium a few years back they sunk the field and reduced capacity from 73,00 to 64,00. The human derrière was a lot less,of a space eater in 1923 than in 2014.

Ohio State up to #3 in the AP poll. Five Big Ten schools in the top 14, one SEC school.

Ohio State up to #3 in the AP poll. Five Big Ten schools in the top 14, one SEC school. I listen to ESPN radio on Sirius/XM, where their college football discussion is purposely confined to all things S.E.C. ad nauseum. I know this is killing them.

When the track was removed they didn't move the stands closer to the field. yeah i dunno what they did and i'm too lazy to look at maps, but you are definitely closer to the action i've been on the sidelines of a Buckeye home game in the last 5 years, the fans are right there man

When they removed the track and lowered the field, some new, low level, closer to the field, seats were added. But, 90,000 iron and concrete seats in A-Deck, B-Deck and C-Deck are in the same place they've been for the past 50 years, most since 1922.

They lowered the field 14 feet, and the new sections they added below the original A deck are easy to spot in this pic, and are called "AA Deck." C deck was also made taller, except for the part above the rotunda. Also, the part of the upper deck that is under the press box and separated from the rest of C deck is called "D deck"

The also moved Block O... it used to be on the closed end of the field, although both ends are now technically closed. Block O is now in the straight stands that close the shoe, that used to disappear in the summer because at the time, they were considered portable.

Does the possibility exist, they may fill in the notched section above the rotunda? Perhaps doing so would conflict with the historical aesthetics viewed from the entrance.
