Must be a lot of soccer players on the football team, when the soccer team can!t get out of the sectional.

Game went as expected. I think Willard has something to build off of? But the change up in 2019 with who they play wont make it any easier. I just do not know what the future holds for Willard.

Need more Thunderbolts for kids closer to be fully grown to nearly dominate competition vs teams that make up a tiny % of schools in the state.
Middle School contact that doesn't likely matter until 'til much later is clearly important, so keep the Thunderbolts and bar teachers from coaching because of grudges is the way to go.

What does bar teachers from coaching because of grudges mean?

Must be a lot of soccer players on the football team, when the soccer team can!t get out of the sectional. 15 kids are currently playing on a football team with no heartbeat, they should be playing on the Soccer team. The Soccer Program wants those 15 kids to play Soccer and make Willard High world famous. Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7, not 8, not 9, not 10 but at least 11 straight D3 Ohio State Titles in Soccer would result from permanently burying the Football program deep underground. Mansfield Christian is half the size of Willard and made themselves good at Soccer by not having Foolsball. Willard with twice the enrollment and 20% of the enrollment being far more knowledgeable about the World's #1 sport than MC boys is primed and ready to become the elite in D3. In 2030 dictionaries should have a picture of Willard's Soccer team next to the words 'Championship' 'Soccer' 'Dominance' 'Great' 'Amazing', etc

I'd like to see some money be invested in a badminton program at WHS myself.

drugmart, Maybe the reason Mansfield Christian doesn't have a football team is because they might not have enough boys in school to field both teams. Did you ever thought of that. Sandusky St. Mary's was at one time very dominating in football for what seem to be a long time but they then started a soccer program and it took some of their football players away and that program started to suffer. Both programs didn't have a enough players to do any good and both were losing a lot of games so they got wise and asked the student body, parents, and alumni which sport would they rather have and a vast minority picked football. Now I see that Willard's football team picked up a few more kids this year and even though they only won 3 games this year that's 3 more than last year. The more they start winning the more the kids will start coming out for football. I say give them time and you will see the results. Remember, Norwalk during that long years of losing they barely had over 30 kids coming out to play from grades 9-12. But now they have over 70 kids from grades 10-12 out for football. Willard will come back and so will the kids.
