ALL haters go away and live under a bridge with the other trolls. Fillmore he hadn't played well. It isn't hate it was just a fact. Today he played like a demi-god. It doesn't change that he struggled recently in some big games. It just makes today better for everyone. BEFORE today JT had 8 "big game* wins and at most 3 "big game" losses that could be pinned on him. Even though this is a TEAM sport. Don't you see? Now we're giving too much credit to JT. Line had to block, Running backs had to run, WRs had to catch his passes. Defense had to play well enough in the 2nd half for the TEAM to come back and win. Football is a TEAM sport. We had that drummed into our heads by a great coach for all 4 years that I was a starter in high school. IF the Special Teams had been "special", this TEAM wins by 3 TDs

With this comeback, OSU avoided what would have been their first ever back to back losses to PSU in B1G play
Ohio State is now 19-13 all time against Penn State (17-8 in B1G games)

Barkley had 21 carries for 44 yards. But yet everyone made him sound like he’s god’s gift to football.

The OL was outstanding tonight. I think they gave up 2 sacks, but gave good protection all night. The announcer was totally wrong in blaming the 3rd qtr. play action fumble on Barrett. It was a play-action fake and Dobbins didn't release the ball, he gripped it into his torso, when J.T. tried to pull it out to complete the play-action. Mark that one up to inexperience, luckily the defense rose to occasion and only allowed a field goal.

If JT Barrett chokes on the big stage, 31-13 Penn State If JT Barrett doesn't choke, 28-24 Ohio State If JT Barrett has turned the corner and has a chance of leading OSU to a NC this year, 38-17 Ohio State JT went with option #3 The final score should have been much more in favor of Ohio State. The officials gift wrapped 14 points for PSU 39-24. And allowing a kickoff return for a TD for the 2nd time this year. Come on Urban get that group to play better. OSU should have won by 3+ TD's for how badly they outplayed Penn State. Every break seemed to go in PSU's favor. The Defense was pretty darn good all afternoon vs a potent offense. The O line (minus false starts) was pretty darn good all afternoon JT Barrett played like option #2 in the 1st quarter, then went option #3/#2 for the next 2 quarters, and in the 4th quarter Barrett went option #4 (was not listed and that is Play like a Heisman front runner) Great game by JT Barrett, that's the JT we saw vs Michigan State in 2014 when JT was in the running for the Heisman as a freshman. 16-16 to finish off the comeback win. Urban Meyer needs to fire himself as the Special Teams coach.

The outside contain on the opening kick was non-existent and looked striking similar to the Maryland run back. Watching replays, all the speed guys were committed to the point of attack and then sealed down by blockers, leaving slow footed pursuers nothing but easy work for Saquon once he broke contain and got to open field.

Incredible game where OSU persevered all game long and never gave up when they had multiple chances to do so. A game where so many factors worked against them that it was very frustrating to watch it. From the opening kickoff, and all but about two them,,,,to the Parris Campbell fumble on their opening possession,,,,,to the 5 illegal motion penalties OSU made,,,,to the pass interference call on the interception by Damon Webb in the end zone---shaky at best,,,,,to the No pass interference call against the Penn St defender in the end zone where he clearly had his hand in the face mask of the OSU receiver in the 3rd quarter I believe,,,,,to the Television reply reversal of an interception by Ward turned into a Touchdown by Penn St,,,to the Fumbled hand off between JT and Dobbins in the 4th quarter on Penn States 40 yard line,,,,,,,All those plays went against OSU and not for them. The only significant play that went against Penn St was the Punt block----which to me turned the momentum once and for all. Still JT had to the make the clutch passes and the receivers had to catch them---which they did.
Major Defensive effort by OSU containing Barkley,,,On Penn States' final possession where our kicker gift wrapped field position at the 40 yard line when all they needed was a field goal to beat us, our D line came up BIG,,,,in fact the possession before where we had to stop them without a first down or the game may have been over,,,I think they went backwards about 10 yards in 3 plays. Those two defensive stands were Championship worthy efforts by the D line.
Again,,this was a game that I think will be talked about for a long time. At present JT has to be in the Top 3 of Heisman contenders, his season stats are obscene. Great day to wake up as a Buckeye fan.

"very well" ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Until the 4th quarter he was playing quite avg. I guess you need it all spelled out for you. He had a phenomenal 4th quarter where all of his stats came from. OSU won, isn't that all that matters to you? I mean Jesus, take off the condom before trying to swallow his load WF. I think the defense was a huge factor in this win and they completely shut down Mr. RB Heisman hopeful. They also made PSU look like a lost team throughout the entire 4th. Urban's special teams is just pathetic to watch. I hope he hands that job over to someone more qualified. I think this ranks up there with one of the best games in recent history but to say JT played the single best game ever as a OSU qb? Nah, that is purely your opinion, most would say that would still be CJ winning a NC game as a backup/3rd stringer. Come from behind wins are fun to watch. Go OSU

J.T. was personally responsible for 436 total yards! He played a remarkable game, beginning to end., but the 4th qtr. was off the charts! Urban Meyer said it was the single best performance of any QB in his entire coaching career.......nuff said. I can see the Barrett bashing will resume fairly soon.

NO, tommyboy, you need it spelled out for YOU. JT was playing "very well" in the first 2 and 3/4 quarters. Completely 67% of his pass with 1 TD and ZERO INTs, rushed for 77 yards on 11 carries. During that period was when the 4 illegal motion and holding penalty was called on the O-line. That's when the fumble happened that gave Penn State the ball deep in Ohio State territory. That's when 4 of his passes were dropped. You must not have done your math homework yet, if no passes were dropped, JT would have completed 37 of 39 passes for the game!! During that period he was throwing the bubble screens, swing passes, and short curl routes that were called by THE COACHES. Your intellect IS such that you're aware that QBs in college DO NOT call plays, right? PAY ATTENTION! From around the mid-point of the 3rd quarter and on JT played a PERFECT GAME. Completing 16 passes in a row for 3 TDs and ZERO INTs. Your ignorance is showing by you thinking his PERFECT completion streak started in the 4th quarter. Only 13 of his 16 in a row came in the 4th quarter. Many of his passes had to thrown into a "shoe box", as my favorite announcer Gus Johnson said. Very few QBs in the history of college football played as well as JT did in that game. He completed 84% of his passes against a TOP 5 team with the #1 defense in the country. Give us the list of QBs who completed a higher % against a TOP 5 team with the #1 defense, it's a VERY short list. But I'm sure all we'll hear are crickets. VERY GOOD tommyboy!! By giving praise to the defense, as you should, YOU FINALLY have grown up and admitted that it takes MUCH MUCH more than one singular player on a TEAM of 150 to win a football game. You're showing you ignorance again, do your homework flunky. It is not MY opinion, that this was the best game by a QB in the history of Ohio State football. NOR, was I the FIRST to say this was the greatest game played by a QB in the history of Ohio State football. I picked it up from MY research. Ask Urban, Day, White or a long time member of the Columbus media. If YOU want to prove THEM wrong, all you have to do is give us the name of an Ohio State QB and his stats that came against a TOP 5 team with the #1 Defense in the country. AGAIN, I'm sure all we'll hear are the crickets. Your pants are full of crickets. . You still have not learned that it's a bad idea to bloviate. It's so much fun speaking as spoken to. Any time you wanna play again, give it a go.

That was crazy, we were up at cp today and kept checking in on the game on our phones. Looks like Barrett finally had the big time game in a big time moment that we have been waiting for. He was finally the reason that the Buckeyes won a big game. I beg to differ. Like when JT is hated on, his play against Penn State was not the sole reason that this TEAM won this game. JT play a GREAT game, but to do so, his O-line had to play great. As a matter of fact, the Penn State head coach, you know one of those football people that REALLY knows football, unlike us neophytes. Said the Ohio State O-line was THE reason JT played as well as he did. He said any good QB that has as much experience as JT, can complete a pass with ease if you let him stand unmolested in the pocket for as long as he did in the 4th quarter. He blamed his defense for being unable to pressure JT. ALSO, WRs must catch the passes thrown. RBs must run the ball and help with pass protection. The defense held Barkley to an average gain of ONE FOOT/carry on 22 rushes, outside of his one 36 yard run. They had to put the clamps on the Penn State offense for the Ohio State offense to make the comeback they did. It takes a TEAM effort for a TEAM of 150 to win a football game, especially against a TOP 5 opponent. If special teams played "special" Ohio State wins by 3 TDs. That being the case, possibly we shouldn't get too excited about this win. Maybe Penn State isn't that good, they haven't played anybody.
