BV played really well on the D side tonight, next up BC who upset London. RV vs Lakewood will be fun to watch right before the BV/BC game. If Lakewood is hitting their 3's it will be a good one.

Congrats to Coach Stout being named district COY, and Stevens POY. Both great picks.

RV blows out Lakewood to earn District Championship. BV falls to Bloom C 49-40. BV got down by to much out of the gate and got to within 7 in 4th but to little to late. BC big girl to much for BV. Missing a ton of fts didn't help. PL loses to AC. Carry the flag RV.

RV loses to Tippacanoe. Nice season RV. Good tournament MOAC. Time to take a few weeks off then get daughter back in gym and get ready for summer camps and shootouts. RV will be my fav for league again next yr with MH a close 2nd.

RV lost to Philo I think, not Tipp City. I agree Gates, nice job RV and most of girls Teams MOAC in tourney play! I will not make a guess on next year as I think it will be another battle of the Top 5/6 teams: RV, BV, MH, Ont and PL. Let’s just hope the coaches do a little better job on league picks next year so deserving players get some notice. It should be more on target next year as NU and PL won’t be able to hold each other’s hands for those picks!

Isn't NU still in the conference next season or is it a football only situation?

They had a pretty rough go of it this season. Although, they are traditionally pretty strong.

Everyone will have to do their homework on Shelby, but they lost to Ontario so they will need to do their homework on the MOAC. RV is loaded again with the best player in the league. MH has the 1A player in the league, she just needs some help and the JV team will give her that. RV is the team to beat.

i think douglas will be best player next year. was just a step below rv girl as a freshman. and she is in the gym every day, i haven’t seen a work ethic like that to be honest from a lady hooper.

That could happen 4 but Stevens is only a Jr. and watching her play she gets after it in the gym. MH will have to finish better than they did this yr for Douglass to get that honor over her. I know my daughter will be at the Y everyday to try and help BV replace the 4 SRs they lose and try and stay close to the top in their last yr in MOAC

4 and Bates.... I think Douglas was best player this year. She has a very bright future ahead of her and really seems to have the right kind of attitude!

MOAC winter banquet tomorrow night. Could somebody collect Coach Stout (coach of the year award) for him as he has no representation there . BTW RV record is wrong on moac site... BV and RV are both 19-7 on the season. Looking forward to another great season next year!

How does a coach with best over record (tied) and zero 1st teamers and only 2 over all not get COY? It makes no sense... you don’t have very good players but somehow win and make it to district finals. I’d say that has to be the COY! Don’t say it goes to winner of league. It has not always been that way in the past.

Some don't seek the notoriety, that others perceive they deserve. Many leagues don't have COY awards to avoid this issue.

My guess is Stout voted for RVs coach. Either one was the right choice, RV won league and beat BV twice so I would have given it to RVs coach also. They had the best player and won district. We are just glad to have Stout at BV after the Drama from the last few yrs. he doesn't have dumb rules that could get you out of starting lineup like not being in line in the right place to eat the team meal or having shoes not tied at practice. And the assistant coaches are allowed to coach, not sit on bench and not say a word.

RV won it a couple years ago when finishing tied for 3rd with BV, so again Stout should have been COY. I'm just being a smart @%s, just trying to get the coaches in the future, to make the right type of league picks and not make it about buddy picks. Pleasant for sure wouldn't have been COY as they finished 5th place but was only team with two 1st All League picks, so I would say for sure they didn't get job done (again just being a smart guy). My guess is Coach Stout didn't get it cause he probably was not at banquet since he had zero players there. Why give something to somebody not there.

Hearing interviews at Pleasant begin this week. Any big names going for the position? Any front runners?

Pleasant is looking for a new coach Pleasant has a new coach. Ive known since Wednesday but didn't post because I didn't want our BV girls to find out from SM. Pleasant didn't hire the best player I've seen come out of there in Mike Daniels who applied and has experience. They hire Stout from BV, who is a BV grad. Job has been open over a month, you've already had your summer meeting with girls and started their off season lifting program with them, then decide to leave? I'd like to say I have faith in new AD to find a loyal replacement but he's shown me that he doesn't care about any of the girls sports at BV. JV coach is dedicated to these girls and will keep them focused and hungry. I will help her anyway I can to get these girls where they want to go. The 2 games next yr between these 2 teams should be fun:)

Mike Daniels pulled his name out early. Didn’t interview for Pleasant job. The story is, from what I was told by a good source, that they had had their 2nd round interviews last Tuesday. Interviewed an assistant from Cardington, and their current JV coach with the AD and Superintendent.... After the interviews, they called and offered the job to Stout...hmmm? And yes, the 2 games between your two schools will be worth the price of admission.

BV heading to the new league probably had something to do with it. I’ve heard, from a credible source, BV is expected to lose a few more because of the league change as well. At least BV has Summer things planned. P is heading into Summer with nothing from the last coach. Must have been terrible applicants if they’re reaching out to someone else during the final interviews. Happens everywhere.

I was told pleasant asked Daniels what he would change with the program and they didn't like his answer.
