So far the biggest development is Rose being traded to the Knicks
It'll be interesting seeing where all these free agents end up

It's nice to kind of not care. I mean I do but I don't. I can care in a 'wow' kind of way instead of an 'oh God that's gonna suck' kind of way.
Durant would look better to stay in OKC, going to GS will look weak but after LeBron ran to Miami to join the superfriends all is fair game.
It's nice I can watch Wiggins now and enjoy his career no matter how good he gets and not bemoan the fact that he's not a Cav. Minny will be fun to watch develop.

I agree and think Durant in OKC is the best thing. At least when LBJ left(which I disliked), he was going to be a teammate with a very good friend in Wade. I've not seen Durant and Curry listed as pals anywhere.

I had a feeling that was the response I was going to get, but there was a reason why I typed that. A handful seemed to settle for the yearly tank the season for high draft pick syndrome.

settle? not sure i understand that particular choice of word, it's not something the fans have any control over...you takes what you get when you're a fan, as Lakers fans are finding out
are you settling for your own team's yearly tank the season for high draft pick syndrome?

Agreed. Odd. High draft syndrome helped win games 5-7 with TT & Kyrie and the trade that brought Kevin Love. Trying our darndest brought Trajan Langdon. Being 8th seed yearly or just missing playoffs = continuously losing in the NBA. I knew that years ago, and now THANX TANX for the legit trophy.

are you settling for your own team's yearly tank the season for high draft pick syndrome? No. As a fan, I want the team to WIN. I won't talk tanking the season in hopes for a high(er) pick.

you'll dance with whom they tell you to or you won't dance at all, fans don't get a choice
and the whole reason behind wanting a higher pick IS to win kid, it's not an end sum game

Glad it sounds like the Cavs are going to try to keep the core 6-7 players. Unselfishness and team chemistry are underrated during free agency IMO.

The Golden State Warriors have petitioned the NBA to allow games to be played with 2 basketball for all their shooters.

i think it's kind of neat, i'd rather take my chances with KD sphinctering up on a last shot than Steph or Draymond

You don't have to be good to get big contracts you just need to suck less than others. Evan Turner got $75 million, last time he produced was hitting long shot to beat Michigan in the Big Ten tournament. There has been more money spent this year on the first 54 players of FA than the 137 signed last year.

The money being handed out is crazy. I like Delly and Moz but they are way overpaid for players of their caliber and they are only local examples.
It's going to be interesting to see how the Cavs handle the rest of this offseason. Can they get David West? Can they resign JR Smith? Will Shump be around much longer after his playoff performance? Is Mo going to be the only backup PG with his injury history or are they counting on their draft pick there? Lots of questions.
Oh, and Scooters comment is 100% spot on. But they now have no rim protection at all on that team so it's goign to be pretty interesting to see what happens with the rest of their roster.

The biggest complement that could be paid to LeBron, the team and the CAVS coaches and organization. Golden State knows they can not beat the Cavs without another superstar.

West going to GS sucks as we were after him. Rumor this morning is that Ray Allen is looking at coming back from retirement and playing for them as well, because you know they need another shooter.
Wade chatter was big yesterday, but I personally would rather have JR at this point since it sounds like we can't have both. JR's defense is really helpful and his shooting now is better than Wade's. We don't need another slasher, we just need shooters imo.

Is there any chance the Cavs make a move and sign or trade for a huge impact player before next season?

Dunleavy is a 14 year vet that is on the downside of his play. Below average scoring, rebounder and defender. He can hit a big shot on occasion but will not, IMO, at 6-9 give any rest to Kyrie, Lebron or Thompson. He may be able to give Love a break but would be a decline in personnel if he does.
