Whippets survived Upper Sandusky tonight at home. Very sloppy game by both teams and the officials. Possibly one of the worst officiated varsity basketball games I have ever seen. Not much was called in the first half and a mix of unnecessary and missed calls in the second. Lots of turnovers both ways.

Bellevue fans, why didn’t Marshall play tonight against Willard? I'm assuming he must have been the starter this refers to...

The Lake division appears to be WIDE open with Sandusky getting spanked by Bellevue then the Redmen only beat hapless Willard by 2... Even though it was without their talented Soph still wow. Shelby appears to be the early favorite however Norwalk gets Haraway back next game and they should be in the mix...

I was able to make it to the Sandusky/Bellevue game Friday and came away impressed with some of the rebounds by Marshall from Bellevue. Looked like a man among boys sometimes. Too bad he couldn’t play last night against Willard.

Thanks. Did Carter Brooks play and did he contribute? Any scoring breakdown? Carter Brooks did play and did contribute. He ended with 6pts, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. He may still have a little football mentality as he had 4 fouls and spent a good amount of time on the bench. Hunter Hoffman led the way with 24 and 8. Schwemley went for 14, 5, and 5. Hill had 13 with 7 assists. Everyone had a chance to contribute tonight. They moved the ball really well and the big lead gave the entire varsity line up plenty of playing time. Tonight's game against Upper should be little more competitive. Thanks for this and the subsequent update. I won’t get to see a live game until, probably, after Christmas. If someone could post this weekend’s games (if any) I’d appreciate.

If that was one of the worst officiated games you have seen, don't think you have seen many games!!! Sloppy, wouldn't call it that either, yes there were turn overs but Upper pressured Shelby the whole game. Upper should win the N 10 and for Shelby' first weekend, didn't think they looked to bad!!! See what they do up north Friday!!

I have seen a few lakes games and the league is wide open this year. There is no team that can't win a game. A very good balance among lake teams this year. It depends on who shows up. I think Shelby is the early favorite, especially after beating Sandusky last night. Sandusky is young and might be a force when there two 6'6 posts are able to play, which they have not yet. Perkins could be the sleeper. Norwalk is completely different with Haraway in the mix. I really like the young talent throughout the area.

League appears to be wide open with Shelby at the top of the heap and then a big log jam (Norwalk, Perkins, Bellevue, Sandusky) Norwalk and Perkins have a big game coming up that will tell a lot about each team...

Clyde 77 Lexington 75 on Saturday. Great game to watch, Stover is a stud for Lexington, just lacking a true pg.
