lies, damned lies, and statistics Championships trump everything. Championships will be remembered forever in history. Going 16 for 16 in a quarter will be forgotten by some that saw it.

And neophytes like you think only one individual out of a TEAM of 150 is the sole reason for winning a Championship. I wonder how many high school, college and NFL coaches would agree with your theory? one individual can be the reason you lose a Championship i'll let you ruminate on that for a minute or three...

I seriously doubt those who witnessed J.T.s amazing feat will soon, if ever forget that performance. The Barrett name will have it's place in the NCAA record books for eternity. I witnessed Ken Anderson set the NFL record for consecutive pass completions (20) vs. the Steelers in 1974, will never forget that day and the record still stands today.

As a Buckeyes fan, I can not remember what quarter it was, Or who the 16 passes was against. I know it wasn't against Iowa or Oklahoma. I can't even remember anything about that day. To me, It's not worth remembering.

I witnessed it myself and although I was excited at that time , it doesn't come close to the excitement I was feeling on January 12 2015 when we beat the Oregon Ducks 42-20 to win the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship with 12-gauge throwing for 242yds and Zeke running for 246yds. Ask 20 people who holds the NFL record for consecutive passes completed and you may get 20 different answers.

I'm glad you can admit that being the QB during the National Championship victory will be remembered by many while completing 16 consecutive passes in a mid-season game will fade and be forgotten over time.

Again, I aree with you, but that doesn't diminish the rarified significance of what would be in the category of Pitching a no-hitter or perfect game. It may be forgotten over time, but a quick reference to the record books will refresh a few memories, many years from now. Both accomplishments will be immortalized in time.

16 consecutive completions will be remembered by some OSU fans. The winning QB of the first ever College Football Playoff Champioship game will be remembered by NCAA fans across the country. Without diminishing anything, one will be in the record section of a program until broken and the other has a place in college football history forever.

Anybody remember the first Ohio State QB to complete 5 passes in a row? 10? Yeah I thought so. JT's 16 in a row isn't even a NCAA record or Big Ten record.
Anybody ever heard of Dominique Davis? Me neither, I had to look it up. He holds the FBS record for completions in a row at 26, he did that in 2011. Anybody ever heard of Quinn Epperly? Me neither, I had to look it up. He holds the NCAA record for completions in a row at 29, he did that in 2013. ^^^ Both are new records and will surely be broken soon so the their time in a record book will be a blink of an eye. Bye, bye

Bye, bye Where those completions done to end the game when bringing a team back from a 15 point deficit against the #2 team in the country? FAKE STAT, INCOMPLETE STATS, WORTHLESS in comparison Dominique Davis played for a 5-7 East Carolina against 5-7 Navy. A HUGE game. Quinn Epperly played for Princeton in a 33 point blowout of 0-12 Cornell

Without diminishing anything, one will be in the record section of a program until broken and the other has a place in college football history forever. The following season, that winning QB, only completed 58% of his passes for only 8 TDs with 5 INTS in 8 games, no rushing TDs, very few rushing yards and was the 71st rated QB in the country when demoted.

Completing 16 consecutive passes is an impressive accomplishment but it does not make someone a great QB as shown by the comment that Davis and Epperly have done better. Ask any QB that plays in the NCAA if he would rather hold a team record for consecutive completed passes or win a National Title? I'll predict NOBODY wants the passing record.

Accomplishments are far from being in their proper place on here. J.T. has a long and accomplished 'career' with the Buckeyes, but was denied the opportunity to put the crown jewel on his list of accomplishments, due to no fault of his own. Thankfully, his backups came through in remarkable fashion, for that, he is grateful, as is the entire Buckeye nation.

JT has had an long accomplished career and many of the accomplishments are because his career has been long. Many of OSU's QB do not play 4 years. JT should also be thankful Braxton Miller wanted to play in the NFL otherwise his career would have been shorter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Braxton had already made the transition to receiver. If he had made the decision to stay an additional season, it would have been in that capacity. Yes, a four year starting quarterback is rather remarkable these days.

2015 will go down with 1995 and 2005 as the best Buckeye teams I have seen that blew their shot at a National Title. Barrett is a big part of that.

In the summer, after competing with Jones and JT for the starting QB spot, he changed positions. So during his redshirt senior season he played reciever Remarkable is not what I was thinking, but it is uncommon.
