Forget the committee, the politics and ESPN. If you had to lay $1,000, even up, on a team to beat any other team...who would you pick? Rank the others too if you wish.

everyone on here with $1000 would put it on Bama, me included, even though their schedule was kind of garbage and Auburn was the best team in the country when they were playing at home haha
i would put $1000 on Oklahoma even after last night too, i thought they were going to win the whole thing...Big 12 D woot

When they're in attack mode, they are in a class by themselves. For whatever reason, Lincoln Riley chose to take the foot off the pedal.

The reason was the Georgia defense. Giving up long run after long run didn't help either, and do we really need to discuss their special teams? Also Oklahoma didn't put together 4 solid quarters of football at any point during the season. The answer to the question is Bama now that they have 3 of their 4 linebackers back.

As much as I dislike Saban I have to admit if I was tossing down $1,000 on one team to win against anyone it would be him right now.

The reason was the Georgia defense. Huh? What Oklahoma did down the stretch would be on par with the 1990's Bulls keeping the ball out of MJ's hands and putting it into Pippen's hands for the final five minutes. Lincoln Riley kept the ball out of Mayfield's hands down the stretch and blew 3 separate possessions to win the game. 3 chances to win the game and 3 failures because OU went run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run. OU was there because of BAKER MAYFIELD, always put the ball in your best players hands at the end of a game. Lincoln Riley decided MJ wasn't a good option and Pippen was the best option. Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, etc where all bug eyed watching those ridiculous play calls out of Lincoln Riley down the stretch.

Poll locked. Alabama got the title but I would put Ohio St, Oklahoma, Clemson, Georgia and Bama in the top tier....virtual toss-ups. And UCF, Auburn and Penn St close behind.
