It's not that you're stupid, it's just that you know so many things that aren't so. You and wyandot are grasping at straws. You're also running down the list of ways to be wrong like it's your job. Interesting choice of words. I’ve been called outspoken and rational, in your face and blunt, but no one has ever said “ you just know so many things that aren’t so.” Are you the only smart, rational person on here, some might even call you the savant of the board, or perhaps the matrix? well he certainly took time out of his "busy position" at the schools to tear me down..Im not easily offended and it took 3 of them together to defend one another.. Im glad you are able to see through there game as well... the only straws we are grasping at are the ones pointing to an inept school with administration, school board, dean of students and principles....one cannot have such a "drama field" place if one was doing their job! as parents and grand parents we are SICK of the"good ole boys club" if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen !

Well first of all if you know the 8th grade Coach he is also our varsity football coach and he is a professor at ONU. He did not want to coach but guess what we don't have anyone else to do it because no one wants too so he did it as a favor to joe telling him going into it guess what soemdays he has late class at college and would be late. This was established before the season even started. I would love to sit down and have a chat with you about what's really going on in the Willard school district because obviously you are naive enough to believe everything your son tells you that these kids tell him you obviously have zero clue and must be a friend of the coaches...he sits on a chair with a piece of paper that tells him at what time frame to sub a kid in..no matter what the score is...only if beddingfield is in the gym does the coach stand..he rarely even speaks during the game...parents in the stands are guiding the team more than him. ONU can have him.and as far as people not wanting to do it your wrong there as well...they said that about the high school and why they kept long... as soon as they got rid of long 100 people applied...point is no one wants to coach with or under some of these people , now whose uniformed Willard had 100 qualified applicants for the head coaching position? Inform us some more.

Bigox beat me to it. “Parents guiding from the stands”, there’s one of the biggest problems out there, and I don’t care how good or bad a coach is. Parents should cheer for their kids, the team, root them on, but to actually admit to coaching from the stands? Unreal.
I’m also real curious who the 100 applicants were, Wyandot pulling another number out of his as$ like he did earlier in this thread. Poor Willard kids, what a nightmare.

No one is coaching from the stands we are supporting the kids because the coach fails to do so !

How am I twisting anything when you literally said “parents are guiding the kids on the court more than the coach is”. What are we supposed to think you meant by that?
Like I’ve said numerous times, it seems like every year there’s about a 4:1 ratio of Willard related crap on here from crazy parents and willardites than any other town. Maybe ya’ll need to spend less time complaining on here and making us have to read it over and over again.

Of course, you accuse me of insisting I'm the only voice of wisdom here on the boards - lazy, transparent fallacy on your part. I've taken my well-deserved licks here, if you'd paid attention. It's not the first time you've assumed wrong about me (read: "asst. coach"), either, so take a seat. People who know have spent 5 pages trying to educate a martyr-in-their-own-head that, it now appears, has not ears to hear or eyes to see, but is dead-set against a wealth of collective wisdom. Frankly, I hope whatever it is IS made a dirtstorm in the Reflector/Register. I could use laugh.

This forum automatically censors certain words and phrases. You're an idiot. Sentence one and sentence two here make NO sense together. Sentence one is just a circle going nowhere, apropos of nothing. Sentence two is not an argument, just you throwing a fit. Also, it really contradicts sentence one: can a lazy man be "wise?" I'm ignoring the fact that sentence two is kind of mess of jumbled idioms and a weak attempt at misspelled sarcasm. With this, I REALLY have a hard time believing everyone you've disagreed with on anything has never crossed the line from "blunt" or "in your face" to "you're not just stupid, you're an arsehole about it, as well." I've said all I need to say on this part of the board. Peace.

Wyandot going off the rails once again and thinks I’m even connected to Willard in any way. Know people there but related to or even have any care about who is on the school board or who the admins are? Nope. Like I’ve said before and I guess I’ll have to say it again, I am just waiting for all the complaining year after year from the Willard folk to stop. It’s like bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

Clearly you guys have forgotten that today is National Complement Day. There's at least 3-4 folks that need to take a break from the hate being spewed on this thread and two others. Give it a rest will ya? Find something else to think about and give your mind a break from it. That is all.

This is what needs to happen for Willard to succeed again. We need our 6'8 leading rebounder to stop quitting the team in the middle of the season, adding Jordon Moore to this scenario from the 2015 season as well. We need our very promising PG from Junior High to stop transferring to a Boarding school in Cleveland as a freshman. You might as well add in Riley Wagner on the girls side to that as well. She's a 1st Team All State athlete down at Dublin Coffman since moving after 6th grade Those situations happened for one reason or another, and their own personal choices. But when they do happen it cripples a small school when a talented athlete like that leaves and or quits. I'm hearing he may be back, possible contract or discussion over what he needs to do to continue to play. No one ever confirmed he quit, could have been a grade issue and if so it may take a week or so to get worked out. As far as cooper goes, it would have been nice for him to have stayed but he was never going to play for Long, that bridge was burnt and not sure his mother was willing to chance Chris getting another contract. Riley, I'll agree with that one, she is a dominating force and talk about taking it to the next level, she has. She is surrounded by excellent coaching and her mother knew she had talent but she wasn't going to play for Dawson in basketball, she wasn't one of his favorites even at the 6th grade level. Her volleyball career is where she will get the D1 scholarship from. There are plenty of other great kids and athletes leaving Willard too, need to find the root cause and try and stop the bleeding.

Wait, let me go back and read his original post.....thats what i thought, no mention of 100 "qualified" applicants.....just 100 applicants, u added that adjective to try and support your point, foolish on your part, wouldnt surprise me at all if there were 95 wannabes in willard that applied for the job and had zero qualifications

I’ve never been a fan of that but when you have a coach that has no clue about the game of basketball, what else should you do? I see some of these 8th grade parents squirming and chirping especially when the boys are lost out there.

I think a person that takes a coaching position that gets beat up like he has this year and last year, continues to do it, why? It can’t be for the love of the game, he never shows any emotion, like he is being forced to do it. I don’t know the guy but this 8th grade team was in every game last year a parent told me and this year, they are getting crushed by nearly everyone. Nick will get them next year and he is a good coach, lets hope some don’t lose interest before then.
