Gates, My mistake. You are correct. BV is in the MOAC thru next year unfortunately.
Dude, I would say given the way the behavior just seems to be the norm and is accepted that it’s been going on a long time. It’s disgusting that the coaches tolerate (probably encourage) it but I also put a lot of it on the umpires too. With a point of emphasis on sportsmanship and what is specifically in the rule book, they should put a stop to it.

Wonder if it will be allowed during tournament time.

CF spent a lot of time yelling at our pitchers when they were about to release the ball. Like 6 year olds but got real quiet when we started winning. Other than that, no issues, but then again that was the first week of the season. I saw some of this action at a game this year. Does it have anything to do with the fact the head coach is so young or were they this way last season also? I didn't see them last year, but I also observed the young kid baseballdad mentioned. I was at all 4 games. Varsity played on a Thursday and Friday at clear fork, then the JVs played a DH on Saturday at NU due to the wild weather that week. I thought it was more annoying/immature than anything else. But maybe that's how they played in their old conference.

All you had to reply was that you did not know the answer to my question. I good offer from a D1 baseball school is 60% and that is usually a pitcher or a very big bat with good defense. Not all get them and most do not. A 40% offer is common for a solid utility player. Being offered to join as a preferred walk-on with the promise of a possible scholarship later happens quite often. You will never see a roster that every kid gets the same. If you are asking about Ridge Winand, he was offered to be a preferred walk-on to play at Ohio State and he was. Why did you ask if you already knew?? Only a rube would. You're the only one on NCoast who cares. Sounds like the CF players have the same issues that you have. I know I know I know I know At 11.7, they all can't be 60% and 40%. That Prime Number thing.

The only thing asked was the percentage of scholarship Fisher was offered. After all of this, we can assume you do not know.

Any word on the tournament draw? www.cdab.org/sports/bb/default.htmNU #6, plays #8 Newark Catholic on the 10th Your Spartans are seeded lower than I thought they would be. They are #11 at #10 Grandview Heights on 5/10 - here is a fun fact: they beat GH yesterday. #13 Northmor at #7 Elgin (I know that isn't MOAC but USA70pp would be interested in knowing) BV #7 at #6 Hartley on 5/10.

BV scores 6 in the top of the 7th to beat NU 9-6. Barons trailed all game until then and were down 6-1 at one point. Nice comeback win. On an opinion note, high school coaches are way too obsessed with the bunt. I thought both teams took themselves out of potentially big innings early by giving up outs when the pitchers didn’t really have it.

After reading the article in the paper I was curious because baseball is not like football since they give partial scholarships. Next time you can reply that you do not care and do not know and I would ask someone else. WOW!

We are all aware that baseball isn't like football. In Div1 it is illegal to offer anything less than a full scholarship for football.
NO! You were the one who told us. All I know is what Curt Conrad, Jake Furr, Cris Check, and his father and coach said. I had no interest to know more. YOU'RE the one with the strange need to know more.
Are you sayin that you didn't know and just made it up?? RUBE!

Ontario 10, Galion 7
Ontario 17-0 in games played against Ohio teams, but only good enough to get the #4 seed in the Heidelburg District. A really tough District.

Ontario 9-8 over Shelby on Saturday
Ontario 6-2 over Clear Fork on Monday, clinching out right MOAC Title with 2 games to play against Pleasant.
Ontario has won 19 games in a row without one of their best pitchers. Andrew Cacchio came into the season with a lower back problem. He started against Clear Fork, just his 2nd start of the season.

Ontario coach Jeff Fisher in an interview with Jeff Swank after the TC game. Talks about his Freshman 2nd baseman Griffin Shaver, who reached base 3 times and was in the middle of 3 double plays with Junior All-Ohio Shortstop Avery Fisher. "He's a heck of a person and a superstar in the making. Most know him for his exploits on Balogh Court, but here on our court he has absolutely solidified a defense that struggled last year."

Why would the best player in the Freshman class who started and led the varsity in scoring be "looking at leaving"?? AND his best sport is baseball.
Why would the 2nd best player in the Freshman class who averaged 20 PPG for the JV's and is the 8th grade coach's son be "looking at leaving"??
Why would the 3rd best player in the Freshman class who's the 8th grade coach's nephew be "looking at leaving"??
The 4th best player in the Freshman class didn't play basketball this past season due to breaking his leg in football. He had an ERA under 2.00 for the baseball team this year, can't imagine him leaving when his best sport is baseball.
The Freshman class is deep and talented. There could be a player who's afraid he won't start or get much varsity playing time until he's a Senior that might be "looking at leaving", but he'd be a nobody.
Where'a he looking at going Crestline?
If someone is REALLY "looking at leaving" he would have left before the new transfer rule was voted in this week, like Cam Todd did. The Freshman class is so deep and talented they won't miss Todd that much in basketball.
