Let's have a scouting report on who's coming back, what new prospects are coming, and is the pitching going to stand up this year. Also any injury reports on certain players.

Clyde won't be bad. All of its pitching is back from district final team. Who went 1-1 vs Bellevue and 1-1 vs Shelby last year

Thank You BB, I am surprise that the whole Lake Division is all at the same place. It seems to me that some of the schools were at different locations. Like Mansfield Sr. and Lexington, Clear Fork and Shelby might be somewhere around the Mansfield-Galion Area. And Tiffin Columbian and Kenton was somewhere else. I might be wrong on this I don't know but I think you might know. If not then Willard will definitely know and he will say something.

Darn it, that would have been a great game to see. O'well maybe next time.

Last night Clyde beats PC 7-6, scoring 7 runs in the 6th inning. Baseball postseason might be the most interesting of all sports, one good or bad game from the pitcher and a great season can end quickly.

Clear Fork will be going for the trifecta of knocking out SBC champs against Bellevue after topping Vermilion and Clyde already.

Ontario will be going for the trifecta of knocking off Clear Fork for the 3rd time this season. Always a difficult task.
Interesting that neither MOAC coach thought it necessary to use their #1 starter against the SBC teams in the Semi-Finals, saving them for the anticipated MOAC opponent in the Finals.

Wapak is the real deal.
Ontario has a deep pitching staff, but no dominate pitchers.
They've only hit one home run all year, it came in the last game of their 24 game winning steak in the District Finals. They're the epitome of a "small ball" team. They work the count to get walks, don't strike out much and put the ball in play, bunt and hit line drives. A lot of team speed, that the coach uses to put pressure on the opponent's defense. Always looking to take the extra base and force the issue. A walk, an error or single usually turns into a runner at 2nd base, with a stolen base or an error on the throw. They must have close to 100 stolen bases. Their Junior Ohio State commit has 40 himself.
Their middle infield defense is good, they turn a lot of double plays for a high school team

Willard, That's what Baseball is about. Making that small play and advancing the runners to where they would score and more often. I have seen to many teams lose a game even though they may have men on base because they think about going yard and they either strike out or they hit unto a double play or pop up and ending what could have been a lot of run producing inning. Good luck Ontario.

Sometimes not using the #1 works and sometimes it doesn't. They used their #1's against each other and I saw it was like 12-7 or something like that. Baseball makes you scratch your head sometimes cause anything can happen and 1 bad inning can end your season now.
