Chisenall has had the same injury multiple times the past 2 years. I would assume the trainers have him on a dietary and work out regime to solve the issue with his calf muscles. If he's following them. I'm not a Dr., but it's beginning to look like it's a congenital defect and might take surgery to resolve. It makes no sense that the same injury to both calves, occurs over and over.

Indians traded meija for brand hand. Thoughts?

good trade, Mejia was never going to be a catcher or a 3rd baseman and I'm not sure his bat has the power profile you need from a corner OF spot (which is where he will end up)
glad to get hand and I've been suggesting this trade on Fangraphs chats for weeks now

plus the fact that we have Eric Haase at C tearing the cover off the ball in the minors made Mejia expendable

But did the Indians do enough? IMO they did shore up their bullpen. I don't believe they did much to help the deficiencies in CF, RF, or 2B.

Still could make waiver trades, but right now they are still inferior to Boston, Houston and New York

Indians inquired about Harper but balked at including Bieber in any deal.

That was a nice pair of walk-off wins to cap a 3 of 4 series win over the Twins to take an 11 game lead.

Relax It's the freaking Twins. That's not going to be their playoff opponent.

Tribe offense is really up and down right now.

Bauer hit in the ankle by a comebacker tonight, leading to him immediately leaving the game (in the 7th, and over 100 pitches.) Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Bauer to the DL with a stress fracture.
And tonight's win ensures the Ohio Cup will stay in Cleveland another year.

Except for the top three in the lineup the rest of the tribe is inconsistent and there is a lack of clutch hitting.

Another white knuckle save by Allen last night Allen has lost 2 MPH off his fast ball and his curve doesn't have as much bite. Cleveland won't offer a big contract to keep him, when he's on his way to a set up roll.

Kipnis just his an inside the park homer, thanks to an odd bounce of the top of the wall and the failure of the KC center fielder to back up the right fielder

The Indians improve to 10-1 in games that they needed to win to avoid being swept
And the magic number is now 20

The Indians have aquired Josh Donaldson from the Blue Jays for a player to be named later.
The 2015 AL MVP has been out with an calf injury for most of the year, but will be on the Indians active roster starting today.

I'm surprised that they didn't pick up McCutcheon when he cleared waivers.

Isn't Donaldson a third baseman? If so, what will be his position? Put him at third base and put Jose at second base...his natural position?

What a train wreck. No outfielders outside of Brantley, Kipnis taking up space on the roster still, Miller on the DL ...again, along with Bauer. They'll be lucky not to get swept out of the playoffs.
