At 1st glance I see 2 things about the amount of keepers. 1st, at mandatory 15, in theory there should be improved turnover within the standings(parity). Loaded team's lose good players and the bottom of the league gets a shot at them. Secondly, we call it a dynasty league but by most industry talking heads will just call our format a large keeper. So further increase to the amount of keepers gets us closer to that "true" dynasty.
I'm not sure I have an opinion yet as whether we should expand. I do feel that if expansion is warranted via league desires, it should be fixed number as it now. When the top 150+ are already owned, comp picks for keeping less players becomes so administrator heavy that the benefits outweigh the amount of time involved with keeping track.

I’m in favor of 18 as our keeper number. But that just me.

If we are suggesting things to change for the future then I’d like to get opinions on making sure every Position is filled. In CBS(my other league) your roster is red flagged and invalid if you don’t have the slots filled. But we allow it as long as you have the players rostered. If I remember correctly we had a few guys go without a catcher last year.

I think all these suggestions are good, but I don't know how I feel about changing the rules mid-season. I've already made trades with 15 keepers in mind. I'd be down to vote to expand keepers by 1-3 this coming offseason.

I think we're on the same page. post season vote to expand keepers next year. there's a few clubs with still prime age players rostered but minors eligible players coming up if not this season definitely in a year or two. and then there's kershaw and votto who will probably retire on their current teams.

I voted to up the active keepers to 20 years ago for that reason. We have bigger minors roster now with hopes that some of our current keepers become obsolete so we can replace them with our farm system. We are lurking towards a true dynasty league if we up it to 18 or 20. It's definitely something we have to think about next season.

For what it’s worth, I’d vote to stay at 15. I think 15 is a healthy number and allows for teams at the bottom one year to make it to the top the next, if they draft right.
The red flag full roster thing isn’t my cup of tea. We already force everyone to play all year long, win or lose, forcing them to play everyday seems like a bad idea. Gonna void my roster cause I forgot to put someone in? Seems lame IMO and takes away from strategy.

I’m not saying void the roster but I think you should have a full “legal” roster of the eligible position we use. If we have a Position listed then you have to have that at least rostered. I was just saying that is how CBS works. The site red flags your roster to the commish if you don’t have a valid lineup or roster. It’s really a pain in the a** because you have to fill all eligible position to have a valid lineup and you have to at least roster a player for each position used. For instance I believe we had a few not use catcher last year. All I was asking is what are the thoughts of people at least having to have the catcher rostered? You don’t have to play him but your roster should be at least valid. Just asking for your thoughts that it.

It’s really a pain in the a** My thoughts would probably be that. Forcing people to roster a catcher they don’t want to roster seems odd. Seems like it would open the door to ‘can’t have more than 2 1B type of stuff as well’ If we’re talking RP, I’d be more inclined to add a HOLdS category than to force people to roster them I think, after 5 years of modifications that we should be approaching optimal league flow and that changes will be fewer and far between. Just my opinion. As always, we can always vote at the appropriate time if needed

There are ebbs and flows to everything. Last year we did see a few teams go no catcher but not exclusively for the entire year. Now look at this year's rosters, everyone has at least 1 catcher. Is that a strategy change or just more rosterable players. RP's are in the same boat. They primarily impacted the saves category. No one has tried to load up on elite RP in an effort to have super low ratios. Now if we wanted to look at ways to increase value of RP then that would be a good discussion.
All that said, I like what we have been doing in terms of rostered positions.

I think doing stuff like not having a C is kinda lame but there is a built in penalty and heck if i needed an extra P in the playoffs i wouldn't hesitate to do something like drop a C if i thought that gave me the best chance to win.
Some peeps choose to punt categories like S or SB, it is what it is. It is kinda the same thing to me plus the oversight needed on a daily basis would make me (if i were commish) wanna punt haha.
I've been a proponent of larger keepers in the past but at 15 there really is some good talent available in the draft. Plus being able to put some value on 1st and 2nd round picks helps when it comes to making trades. So I would probably vote to stay at 15. I know South had to make some tuff cuts this year, and two years ago i had to trim a lot of talent. I think that has helped teams because we have had a few teams with losing records turn it around the next season and make the playoffs. I think that is important. A two year rebuid ain't so bad but a five year rebuild would kill some motivation for owners i reckon.

I just want to thank Sir Rusty Trumbos for dropping Teheran. He had a no hitter going until it got broke up in the 7th. He's been awesome for me since you dropped him so just many thanks!

Man Ozzie Albies is a beast. Atlanta is poised for another long run at division titles, especially when some of their young arms start sticking in the majors (Soroka, Wright, Anderson, etc).
I really like TB and OAK in the next 3-5 years too, just sucks for TB they are in a division with BOS and NYY.

Non league trade question. 12 teamed h2h. Which side do you guys prefer:
Jose Martinez Travis Shaw Jack Flaherty
For Mikolas Bregman Zimmerman.
Part of me thinks this is a no brainer but maybe I'm too close to it.
