So you guys have an idea...we had about 11,000 in attendance (seating capacity is around 9,500) and sold 19,065 hot dogs in 4 hours last night. For perspective on that amount we went through more hot dog buns in 4 hours than most grocery stores sell over the entire 4th of July weekend. |

the real horror is that 7 cents of that dime is all profit Actually we take a loss on giving them a bun for ten cents (we get 8-packs of buns for $0.86). Let alone condiments, napkins, wrappers, staff, the actual hot dog and overhead. It's the same when grocery stores sell water or cases of pop/soda (whatever) for less than $10. It's a loss-leader in that taking a loss on that one item leads to increased sales throughout the venue. Mondays and tuesdays are the lowest attended games in baseball no matter the level. We sell 10 cent hot dogs to draw in a crowd. Sure, we "made" almost 2k selling those dogs, but it takes a lot of effort selling them and still overall had a good night. Minus costs we contributed to the bottom line. Today was crazy in that out of nowhere we got crushed by another 10,000+ crowd. Tomorrow is a noon game and the last mid-week day game so it's already sold out. Sorry for straying from fantasy baseball on this thread. How about Clippers beat Louisville in 10 tonight? But Jesse Winker went 2-5, 1 rbi in the loss...hitting .295 on the year. And could get called up once Bruce is traded. |

Well, ESPN will not allow me to choose Augut 1st at 4pm, so we will just do it manually.
All trades must be accepted by August 1st, 4pm ET, 1pm PT.
Any trades that are accepted after that time until Offseason Rosters are unlocked next year, will be immediately vetoed by the LM.

Great week for my offense, bad matchup.
7 more HRs than anyone else and still lose by 2 HRs
The 23 HRs and 66 RBIs from Monday through this Sunday would have been weekly highs had it been a one week matchup. 33 RBIs in the last 2 days including 21 today.
Typical CEO/STRO matchup. If have to check, but a lot of our matchups have ended 7-5

I take that back, I checked, not as many 7-5 as I thought, but I did find that I've played STRO 7 times total in 3 years and have only won one matchup.
Him and BELL it always seems like I can't beat.
