I can't think of any incident like this that called for a suspinsion. Does anyone else remember a fight that caused for a suspension? If not maybe an example will be made. But I agree that punch was well placed. He may have a future in MMA lol.

That definitely was not Self Defense.....that was more of a Hit placed on Bautista for his Bat Flip last year.
The cowardly Bluejays waited until his last at bat in the final game of the season between the 2 to throw at Bautista and then for the slide, I actually didn't see anything wrong with it, as for the sucker punch to the face....yikes...
Odor deserves close to a 10 game suspension for that blow to the head.

I was kidding about the self defense part No! And just because he is on your team and kidding, I hope its a 50 game! LOL Back to back decent weeks for my team. I call it the Addison Russell Affect. I have noticed with my team, I have too many guys who sit every other night based on the matchup vs pitchers. Hate having players that suck vs a certain handed pitching.

We have concluded our 1st run through of In-Division Opponents. We will now commence with 3 weeks of Out of Division Opponents. 6 owners will face off in back to back weeks in Week 7 and Week 8. Those matchups are: DRT vs TIG TL23 vs REDS STRO vs BELL Here are the 1st Edition Power Rankings, which were computed using an algorithm that considers Rotisserie Score, True Ranking Score and Current Standings Score. To see the statistics or algorithm that went into computing these rankings please visit: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RyiaHaHAU0ueeG6xwzeCWBx3x8by4BkiVaP6zLZlB7I/edit?usp=sharingThe Power Rankings are on Tab 2 at the bottom. Tab 1 is the overall record for all teams. To answer the question now, TRUE Rankings are a ranking of the teams based off of Per 9 statistics. They are Rotisserie Rankings that minimize the effects of high streaming pitcher teams, teams with better roster flexibility and teams who benefit from the randomness of two start pitchers each week. Essentially they are standings of a league in which every team has equal ABs and IP each week. To see the splits for True Rankings(Offensive and Pitching), or to check and confirm the statistics, please visit the google sheet. Power Rankings[/u] 1.CEO 94.65 2.TIG 88.2 3.REDS 84.15 4.DR.T 81.3 5.STRO 76.05 6.SITH 68.4 7.TESL 56.1 8.BELL 44.1 9.BROW 36 10.TL23 30.45

Why do I play Torch 2 weeks in a row?

Why do I play Torch 2 weeks in a row?  Originally, it was intended for everyone to do the same for weeks 7-8 because it was the easiest. Setting up the scheduling was a nightmare in 2014 to get it how we wanted it. ESPNs default at the time was a random schedule with non rhyme or reason in regards to in division or out of division. Nonetheless it took a long long time, so long that when we voted for 1 week playoffs(not my favorite rule), I wanted nothing more than to find an easier way to schedule than to have to do it all over again. You change one matchup to fix one error and it makes 3 more errors. Nonetheless, I added the back to back, because it made it easy, while keeping our former structure of 3 rounds of in division opponents. It didn't work for 4 teams and was a rather easy swap to have no errors in the scheduling that I could find.....and it only took about 20 minutes. Plus, I thought it would be an interesting little hiccup that we'd change if people didn't like it. I posted the back to back multiple times and no one seemed to care. Im working up my 'luck is for the regular season, not the playoffs' proposal for voting season anyways, so if we vote back to 2 week playoffs this season, the back to back won't matter for next year.

two week playoff is a must in baseball, that was one vote i really disagreed with I hope it doesn't play as big of an effect as I believe it will. Theres a lot of luck involved in weekly matchups(two start pitchers, team matchups), but over the course of the season, the top two teams will in all likelihood make it to the top of the standings and luck becomes secondary. A two week matchup reduces the chance of a lucky win in the playoffs. We want the best odds that the best team is going to win our league, not the luckiest team(although, regardless, there will still be en element of luck with 2 week playoffs) A one week playoff brings in the possibility that some of your top arms on top teams will possibly be skipped a start and literally not accumulate stats for your team. Currently, if you have a good team, you will possibly be rewarded with your pitcher skipping starts or your players taking extra days off in preparation for the MLB playoffs. It's not uncommon. It is less common to have a pitcher skip two straight starts. Just my thoughts, but honestly I was surprised the vote was close, much less that it passed. Fuckin democracy Lenin! Lenin! Lenin!

The back to back is fine with me. Just asking Ideally it would've been all of us doing back to backs, and I thought it would've been kind of cool to establish a sort of Out of Division rival with those back to backs

I'm looking to move Tyson Ross if anyone has room on their DL. I'm thinking draft pick or a 2 for 1 deal.

Silly Dr. Torch....you tried...
Report on the poopy closer for the Rangers for Zach Britton:
Tolleson has been removed as the Rangers' closer, TR Sullivan of MLB.com reports. Spin: After a pair of disastrous outings culminating in giving up a walk-off grand slam to Oakland's Khris Davis, Tolleson has been relieved of his closing duties for the time being. Tolleson has already doubled his blown save total from last season with four blown saves in the first two months of the season. Sullivan notes that this may not be a permanent removal from the closer's role for Tolleson, but rather a move to put him in lower-leverage situations until he can regain his command. Sam Dyson is the likeliest candidate to close for the Rangers in the wake of Tolleson losing the gig.
Now why on Earth would I fall for that?
