I look at my 2014 roster sometimes and think how different my team would be if we kept 15 that year.

I look at my 2014 roster sometimes and think how different my team would be if we kept 15 that year. I do the same, but I think I was able to retain a lot of guys over the 5 limit through the 2015 draft. I've got several guys that have been on my team all 3 years that I didn't designate as a keeper in 2014

and yes it looks like 2014 is gone, used to be able to catch it from the 2016 message board Well that sucks Though on a more positive note, I've noticed that the only time ESPN makes you log in anymore is when you try to vote in a poll. No more of the every day crap we had to put up with for 2 years.

Seager with 5 bombs in the past 3 days! It's not like he's the only one hitting HRS on your team either

True...would be nice to have a couple of SPs perform up to expectations though.

Things are getting tighter in both leagues. A clump of 4 teams and then one of the other 6. Good to see

When are we going to vote on expanding keepers at the end of next year?

New league note up.
Usually we vote after all star break before trading deadline.
Some voting would be better post season(playoff matchup length) so we can better analyze what we're voting on.
I wanted to put together that poll DRT suggested but I'm finding it difficult without the 2014 minors draft thread. So dumb.

I would guess from my team you have Lindor and Odor that would be possibly the only 2

I'm looking to possibly trade some NL pitchers for some AL pitchers.
With a NL heavy roster, I'm getting real tired of my batters facing my pitchers all the time.

we could penny auction Fernandez.
Make an offer using any player on your roster.
Each individual bid also costs a draft pick, starting with your lowest.
It'd be fun to see that play out, but in the end, I think I'd win.

Until we plot against you and you get some turd and a 15th round pick for Fernandez........
Then you would be even with the trash you gave up to get him

Until we plot against you and you get some turd and a 15th round pick for Fernandez........ Then you would be even with the trash you gave up to get him I think this league is cutthroat enough that none of you guys are gonna let another owner just have Fernandez for a bum and a 15th. Maybe 2-3 band together, but it only takes 2 others to keep it going. Just a heads up on a proposal I am putting together to reconfigure the draft order selection process. I'll put something more formal together when it's time to vote, but this is what I'm thinking. Throughout the season, I will keep a running points total for each team. The points will come from several categories, some will be for things you wished you got credit for and some of a league integrity variety. Some examples: 1st Money in-2pts 2nd Money in-1pt Lose matchup 0-12- 2pts Lose matchup 1-11-1pt Active pitcher hits HR-1pt Active pitcher hits Grand Slam-2pts No Hitter-2pts Perfect Game-3pts Hit for the Cycle-1Pt 3HR in 1 game-1pt 4HR in 1 game-2pts Worst Season Record-2pts 5th-9th Season record-1pt Winner of 9v10 Playoff Matchup-3pts Loser of 9v10 Playoff Matchup-1pt Winner of Consilation Bracket-2pts Unused Active DL Keeper-1pt Unused Minors Demotion-1pt League Vote(All Star Break)-4points The idea would be to keep a list of things that would kind of monitor themselves and not to reward ''good achievements" too much. The league vote one would be a vote at the all star break to decide which team should get a 4pt bonus. So, when we go to determine draft order, the owner with the highest amount of points amongst non playoff qualifying teams would get their CHOICE of draft slots 1-10. It would then follow in order of amount of points among non playoff teams. Once non playoff teams have locked in their draft slots, the playoff team with the highest amount of points would choose from the remaining draft slots and so on.... Nonetheless, it is all still a thought in progress, I just wanted to put it out there and get some opinions from all of you.

How did you add Paxton, drop him and add him again all in 1 day after he started for you?

How did you add Paxton, drop him and add him again all in 1 day after he started for you? That's a good question. One I discussed with TESL last night when it became apparent that I submitted an add/drop and not a waiver claim. Either I don't understand the waiver rules correctly, or ESPN again has some issues with the waivers. Unless I understand incorrectly, Add Paxton drop Gregorson should have been processed as a waivers claim.

If I remember correctly(hard to verify now without NOSF), I think each time this has happened in the first past it has been on similar grounds.
I will look more into it when I get to work, but it appears ESPNs issue is with same day drop/add/drops

Ok. I found this on ESPNs waivers overviews
'Note: to help prevent the issue of cycling players through free agency, a player that is added and released on the same day(a 24 hour period from pickup to release) will remain a free agent.'
Interesting. What is the issue of cycling players through free agency mean?

You would think that only applies to someone you do not use in your lineup though.
My guess is because you dropped him at the lock of rosters for the day for the first game at 7. Which was before he was playing his game at 10. So he had not played at that point in time.

I think you're right in what you messaged me. That it is intended to keep people from adding and dropping pitchers just so another team can't use them until they clear waivers.
I agree with the stats accumulation part. You would think that if they accumulate stats that they would have to go to waivers, but apparently not.
I know the issue before was with TESL and Ben revere(?) and he had done the same thing. Added, dropped and added him again all in the same day.

I have no real issue with it. Just think espn should fix thathe somehow.
Once rosters lock for the day, you can't add him to play that day anyway. So makes sense that he should go stright to waivers

I agree. At least now we know it isn't some ESPN glitch, that it is written in the ESPN rules that way, and apparently we all didn't have a correct understanding of those rules.
