So far the Cavs have faced the same 3 teams as last year's playoffs, in the same order.
Not sure why there's a 4 day difference between games 2 and 3.
Game 1: Sun, May 13: Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics, 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC Game 2: Tue, May 15: Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN Game 3: Sat, May 19: Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN Game 4: Mon, May 21: Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN Game 5*: Wed, May 23: Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN Game 6*: Fri, May 25: Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN Game 7*: Sun, May 27: Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

I went Cavs in 6 against the Raptors and they swept, so I’ll stick with Cavs in 6

Also the reason for the gap between games 2 and 3 is probably because the hard start date of May 31 for the finals. Sorry if anyone finds this post ignorant

If Love has Horford, who has Baynes? Cavs have been starting 3 guards.

i'm talking Love on offense being defended by Horford, it's a tough matchup for Love to do the things vs Horford he was doing vs Valencunis when we played TOR

Well no sheet Boston can't guard LeBron, no one can. But I don't think he can score 45 every night.
Horford can defend on the perimeter and he is widely regarded as one of the best pick and roll defenders since Garnett. A lot of the Cavs offense since the playoffs started has been the interplay of Love and Korver playing intuitive pick and roll. Horford will defend their pick and their roll better Indy or Toronto.
In fact, not defending Love and Korver correctly is going to cost Dwayne Casey his job.

We will still see the P&R's involving Korver, Love, LeBron, and Hill but they won't be to get open shots so much as to get favorable matchups(because the Celtics will switch almost all P&R's). Hopefully the favorable match-ups lead to penetration, which results layups or kickouts for 3's. Korver, JR and Love (and now Hill)spread out behind the 3 point line with LeBron driving and kicking is the Cav's bread and butter. You get that started by making a weaker defender switch onto Lebron. Should be a good series with the Cavs having the edge due to a deeper bench and better scoring. Whoever shoots 3's better will win most games in this series imo and the Cavs are built to shoot 3's.

Boston shot the 3 better than I thought they could against the 76ers. They play tough defense and are probably more athletic then the Cavs (except for LeBron). But LeBron is the GOAT so, Cleveland in 6.

Who the heck is going to guard LeBron for Boston? That's what I was thinking. LeBron could go for 50+ every night if he felt like it. Probably not good for the team in getting prepared for GS if he goes off like that though

Probably not good for the team in getting prepared for GS if he goes off like that though I assume Jason Tatum and Marcus Morris will split the duty. Maybe a little Ojeleye when they get in foul trouble. Boston’s pretty deep so I think they will foul before they let LBJ host a dunkfest. LeBron and free throws are always an unknown.

It was nice to see the Cavs take advantage when Boston switches on every pick. We can exploit Rozier in the post when that happens. Plus we played some D and shot better. As VanGundy said- All teams look better when they make shots.

Trying to think if i would rather lose to BOS or GS. Prob GS.
Boston D was awful, i expect a better effort tonight, if the refs let them.

This was the 4th time in the Lebron era that the Cavs have gone down 0-2 in an Eastern Conference playoff series and then won games 3 and 4 to tie the series at 2. The previous 3 happened in consecutive years:
2006 East Semis (L to DET in 7) 2007 East Finals (W over DET in 6) 2008 East Semis (L to BOS in 7)

TT in the Boston series:
MPG----------FG%------------FT%------------PPG-------------RBPG 28-----------63%(17/27)-----83%(5/60-------9.8-------------9.3
Who'd of thunk it?
Vegas rates game #5 a 'Pick-em'.

SVP on his show last night talked about how foregone a conclusion the Finals are. Currently, money line has Warriors/Cavs as -750 and Warriors/Celts as -850. He compared it to the money line on the 3-14 match-up in the NCAA tourney (Michigan, for example).
To explain money line (I only recently got it), -750 means you would have to bet $750 to win $100. It's 3:25 odds. There's a 25/28 chance the Warriors will in.

When Durant shoots 8 for 25 then the Warriors look pretty beatable (maybe even by the Cavs).

You can't stop Jeff Green. You can only try and contain him. Why wasn't Tristan Thompson always in the game with Al Horford? Other than that, I thought Ty did an OK job.
