I only have beef with the fact he never took a 4-year deal with the Cavs. Would've been a different situation the past 4 years.

Yeah hard to be upset cause we got a title but the Cavs are in bad shape...still over the cap next year. And we could never sign anyone.

So many missteps since last years finals that you have a hard time not seeing why he left. Kyrie, Griff, Kyries trade return, not trading the Brooklyn pick.

Also worth noting that is was our trade for nance and clarkson that gave lal the cap space to sign lebron.
So we got that goin for us.

so...in (2) trades Altman has made the Cavs biggest threat in the East (Boston) significantly better by trading Kyrie to them, and helped the Lakers clear enough cap space to go after LeBron and Paul George next summer by trading IT to them AWESOME JOB Good call Dr. T

So many missteps since last years finals that you have a hard time not seeing why he left. Kyrie, Griff, Kyries trade return, not trading the Brooklyn pick. Yea, it's time for the Cavs to rebuild. I hope the Browns are watchable this year. With LeBron, the Lakers may now be the 3rd or 4th best team in the West. I still think it's surprising from a basketball view but I guess if he wants to live in LA for the next 4 years while his kid attends high school, that's an OK reason. According to CARMELO, FiveThirtyEight’s NBA Player Projection system, the current club with James would be projected to win 52 games, with a 11-percent probability of winning it all next season. The projected win total would jump considerably, to nearly 60 victories with a 22-percent probability of a title, if the Lakers were to land Leonard in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Luol Deng and a first-round pick or two. fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-good-will-the-lakers-be-with-lebron/

The selection of IT for Kyrie trade,, essentially was, in my view the only serious Monday morning QB mistake made by Altman. He was damaged goods and we were guessing he would be a long term fit at PG----poor guess. There had to be a better offer than that if in fact they were bent on trading KI instead of forcing him to stay and get over his issues with playing with LBJ. But to get the Cavs to the Finals from where they were in late January,,was a real coup,,in the short term.
i think LBJ had such a distaste for Dan Quinn and his support of Trump that he wanted out. In Ohio--LBJ wasn't winning many friends with his outspoken Political views. In Cali,,they'll tell him "to speak his mind--we love it. " Evidently his family wasn't as attached to Ohio as LBJ seemed to be. I guess we'll see how it goes for them in Cali--because LBJ won't be the Ohio legend,,,,he'll be just another star in a State full of stars. The weather will clearly be nicer in the winter.

LeBron dislike of Gilbert has nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with the letter he wrote back in 2010 and for getting rid of Griffin. The Cavs had a deal that would of sent Paul George to Cleveland, but that broke apart because Gilbert’s cheap jack wagon wouldn’t pay him. The political comments you made say more about you than anything.

^^ Huh? I think buckeye has a valid point. While the letter might have started LBJ's dislike for Gilbert there is no question the dislike was certainly heightened by his support of Trump. LeBron has clearly stated his dislike of the POTUS and I'm sure it rubbed him wrong thinking his owner was such a supporter. But my biggest question is, how does buckeye's opinion show you anything about his political feelings? I think he was speaking only on what he thought Lebron was thinking.I'm pretty sure Hitler didn't like Jews, whats that tell you about me?

Say what you want about him, but he spends BIG TIME. It was the Heat owner getting cheap that helped drive LeBron back to Cleveland. I mean the $$ Gilbert gave JR Smith and Tristan Kardashian alone make your previous comment seem a bit misinformed.

Yeah I would say you’re the one that is misinformed if you think Dan Gilbert hasn’t made a killing the past 4 years, or just naive. Plus my post has nothing to do with players salaries. Griffin wanted more power and money and Gilbert’s ego got in the way

Big Hoss----if in fact LBJ had a grudge against Quinn from that letter in 2010,,,he would have never came back. I think he and Quinn temporarily mended that fence and Quinn told him,,if you come back I'll give you whatever you want--Carte blanche. I think that started to change and when things got chitty in and around the departure of KI, coupled with losing Griffin who LBJ liked, the Trump support from Quinn who LBJ cannot stand, and LBJ realizing that minus KI,,we cannot compete with GS-----all those factors played into his decision to leave CLE. All together it just may have been a situation where he felt a change of scenery was needed.
The effort LBJ gave from the post Trade deadline right up to the end of regulation in game 1 of the Finals will forever be a thing of beauty. We went from a horrible team on the verge of not making the playoffs to winning Game 1 on the road at GS. That loss, the way it went down---really really crushed LBJ's spirit. I almost think at that moment his mind was made up about leaving. The block charge reversal, the missed George Hill FT and then JR Smith forgetting the score with a rebound in front of the basket with 2.0 seconds left------man you can just see how the guy would be defeated with a loss taken from the jaws of victory in what is always a critical game one road outcome in the Finals against a better team.

I thought Kyrie could no longer stand to play in the shadow of LeBron? Or was that just another of the multiple lies by the two of them combined.
