I don't understand the obsession this person as with Ross getting in. Seems like they want them to be the big fish in a little pond.
In reality, the d4 schools in the SBC could almost form their own league haha.
I mean, Huron, Edison, PC, Bellevue, Perkins, Clyde, and Vermilion are all in the same region... playing each other in the regular season shouldn't be a big deal.
Why would Ross want to play a bunch of D4 teams anyway? They got drilled by Tiffin last year, and to be honest, might get drilled again this year by them

Last year's Ross team would have been drilled by everyone in Lake/Bay not named Vermilion and Willard.

Bellevue, clyde, Edison, huron, Sandusky, Norwalk, tiffin, perkins, oak harbor, port Clinton vermilion in the Lake....get rid of the bay...the rest in the river... one non-league game...you won't play everyone in the lake

They want to be the big fish in a small pond instead of playing a larger local school, they would rather play schools that are from 1 to 2 1/2 hrs away. I'm not obsessed with Ross getting in, it's just an example of their hypocrisy. Also... I'm not sure why Bellevue and Clyde are so afraid of playing Ross. As you mention Tiffin drilled them last year and Sandusky plays them every year. Clearly Ross is no greater threat than those two teams. You would think Bellevue and Clyde would be jumping at the chance for those computer points when beating a larger school.

I'm not sure you realize this, but it came down to Bellevue and Shelby who was going to Lake/Bay. Bellevue jumped at the opportunity to Lake. Computer points for playing larger school? Not when your example is winning a single game. Points are huge regarding second level. So, Start was still a better option than Ross.

FWIW Clyde played 7 of 10 regular season games against bigger schools last season. Also scheduling Start offers a lot more computer points than Fremont would as they win games in their conference.

St. Francis or Ross?
Clyde made the wiser TRAC choice.

Clyde has 26 playoff wins, 2 state titles in 3 trips and are the defending state champions. I think their scheduling over the years has been fine.

I think the crossover point is these schools outside of OH and Willard are all in the same division and have some history together. Also, the same could be said for programs in the Bay trying to schedule inferior opponents to get wins in the non league. Sandusky and Ross has been a rivalry for a while. Ross isn't getting in, and really no one really wants them in the league. Shelby dug their heels in and pouted to get in the Bay for football, they wanted to duck the lake, Heck Bellevue was the smallest in the Lake at the beginning and even Vermilion had more boys than they did but they whined their way into the Bay. Now I believe Clyde or maybe Perkins is the smallest in the Lake in terms of boys numbers?

Richrod nailed it regarding these crossover schools being in same Region and the history. It wasn't an issue yesteryear, why today?

According to Arbiterlive, Bellevue and Edison have a home and home starting next year, which would be a first time meeting.
Bellevue hosts on 8/27/2021, which is week 2 that year Edison hosts on 8/26/2022, which might actually be week 1 that year (Bellevue at Shelby, which should be week 3, is listed as 9/9, so 9/2 would be week 2 if that is correct)

Here Streaky, where are you? Purple people eaters are looking for you!
This post is in jest. Coach Long recently posted on Yappi looking for games for Ross. Evidently, Sandusky, which of course was originally scheduled, is not interested.

For someone to say someone is scared or doesn't want to play, unless you know what is going on in that program, then to sit back and be a keyboard warrior isn't fair.
Have kids "opted" out in playing?? Injuries? Does it make sense for that school to play basically meaningless games? Why sign a game that may not be a competitive game? (Sandusky/Fremont)

It's Fremont-Sandusky. They've been at odds since the 1850s when Old Betsy was tampered.
In this one, one doesn't makeup bullshit reasons not to play.

Unbelievable that a rivalry going back near 125yrs and you’d have a team back out. Why?? My guess is they know they be destroyed. I can’t believe Sandusky fans would be to happy with their coach and AD saying thanks but no thanks

I just checked schedules on Joe Eitel and it shows Ross at Sandusky on 11/6. If so, I will be happy to admit I was wrong.
