I would be happy to have the boy from Cardington, Galion, Jon Alder or River Valley as my quarterback. In my honest opinion those are the four best. Not in any particular order yet. Out of the 4 mentioned QB's above, only Cardington (McCarrell Sr. 6'0 170) & Jonathan Alder (Eisnaugle Jr. 6'1 190) achieved league honors last year. Both were 2nd Team All MOAC on offense. McCarrell was the only QB listed for last seasons league stats out of the four mentioned above, (115-205 for 2067yrds, Comp% 56.1, TD-INT 24-7)...All are good QB's and have major roles on their respective teams. However, this is a new year.. All QB's throughout the league start with a clean slate and will have the opportunity to showcase their skills. It remains to be seen who will rise to the top of the QB class this season. RV QB listed as one of the best in the MOAC when 2016 is his very first season as a starter? Don't forget Buckeye Valley's Ben Spaulding, Hon Mention in the MOAC in 2015.

Did not realize the RV boy graduated. My fault on that one lol Spaulding is a good field general that's very true. And I agree it's all a clean slate this season, last season does not matter, but those 3 (minus RV obviously) are still my top 3 as of right now. I'm well aware that 2 out of those 3 got to play against very weak defenses in week 1.

My goodness, he had what 4 touchdown passes last Friday. Galion doesn't post stats for some reason. My son, Chase Cooke (6'4"/214 lbs) Galion QB finished last year (regular season) 69-120 for 1121 yards in 9 games (didn't play in the first game due to the state's suspension). 11 touchdowns 0 interceptions. Not in the same league as a McCarrell, but we will see how he holds up tomorrow night against him.

I'm a former 20-year Marine who doesn't like to hear whining, especially about someone on here talking about football. A guy should be able to mention his son on here when he speaks about his team without being ridiculed. I would NEVER do that to another man on here. I might talk a little bit of crap about how good or NOT how good I thought he was, but that's what this forum is about...talking about what we think about football teams, players and match-ups. I didn't have no problem when guys on here said they thought my son was too slow for Division 1 football. I like to hear their opions, we can discuss things like that back and forth. But I'd NEVER talk down to a parent about how he spoke about his son, cousin, nephew or friend. It's just petty and sounds like a jealous 15-year old girl talking about another girl at school. I just don't like it. I'm not going anywhere, so we are all just got to accept the situation. When I speak about my team, I'm probably going to explain what my son did or didn't do. He is the freakin' QB. It's kind of hard not to speak about a team without saying something about the QB. I'm sorry some you guys on here are annoyed, because I discuss the QB on my team. You are right. Our game was amazing last year, such a great game. My son and I were just telling a new teammate about it tonight when I mentioned that "knuckle-head" who wanted to complain about me. I said you guys were rolling at the end, and the only thing that stopped you was that fumble. I can't believe I will actually miss this game. I will be out of state at a wedding. I'm so disappointed...especially talking all junk. ha!

"Not in the same league as a McCarrell" at 6'4"/214 LB's. 69 for 120 with 11 TD's and no pics IT SOUNDS TO ME like he's in a league all by himself. Personally, McCarrell, is one of the most over-rated QB's in the MOAC.

We will find out. McCarrell might not end up being one of the top 3 in the league, like he is in my book right now. Come week 10 those that are not sold on him, might end up looking like geniuses and I may look a fool, doesn't bother me that's what forums are for, talk football, no one has to agree. Right now I think he is one of the top 3, and at around 11pm tonight, I may be saying that was a silly thought, or my mind may not change. I will say this though I am excited for the Tigers and Pirates to kickoff in about six hours.

Normally, I wouldn't single out a player by name, but since galiontiger has put his son out there it would seem it's fair game for others to comment negatively and positively about him. However, I support his right to do so as long as it's not a propoganda machine My son is on the team as well but I don't want to open him up to that criticism online.

However, I support his right to do so as long as it's not a propoganda machine My son is on the team as well but I don't want to open him up to that criticism online. You know I encourage criticism and positive comments on here about my son, because like the one guy said I'm my son's harshest critic. Honestly that's how he can become better, if someone sees him doing something wrong. Maybe he can improve at it. You something Moac...I told him what you said about his defensive performance (on the Galion post) just about 20 minutes ago before he ran out the door to go eat with the team. I tell him what people say about him. The reason is he needs to know to get better. He might not see it himself or he might not want me to be the one saying it. probably the later. ha! There is a lot of knowledge in here. I respect everyone's opinion...EXCEPT about me talking about my son too much. That's personal..and is only a personal view that doesn't have anything to do with football. I say let's keep it about football. Go Tigers...and I hope your son has a fabulous game. ..to the other poster...the reason I say McCarrell is a great quarterback. Is because he's put up the numbers to show he is. Plus I've seen his full game tapes, he has a great touch on the ball. You need that at the high school level. Now at the college level, me personally I like tall quarterback with a big arm. I'd like them to be faster than my son though. Plus yes, my son didn't have any interceptions in the regular season. He should have had like 4...how those kids dropped those balls is beyond me. haha! ...McCarrell I predict will put up the most yards in our league this year and win 1st team offense. My prediction!

Presna must be a Purple or Highland poster to say that about Cardington's qb. I mean we are tslking about a DVI high school quarterback, I wouldn't call any of them "overrated". Second, if my assumption is correct, you just must be sour from all those yards and points he put up on you. Go Pirates!

Probably Cardington. A two loss Div 4 Ontario travels to Dingtown. Ontario's two losses have been at home to start the season. 24-6 to a 1-1 Div 3 Lexington and 21-14 to a 2-0 Div 5 Clear Fork. A win for Cardington gets first level points, but will probably result in not many level two Harbins over the rest of the season.

Pleasant is division 5 in the red division that consists of schools that are divisions 2,3, and 4. Also they struggled last season. For playoffs it's not really necessary for Pleasant to schedule tough non league opponents, nor it is smart coming off a 3-7 season. Shouldn't Harding be dominating the MOAC? Or do you all enjoy being division 2 and choking against smaller schools? Or are you just bitter towards Pleasant because for so many years any halfway decent football player you had transferred to Pleasant knowing they sure as hell weren't gonna win at Harding.

Post by babymaker on Sept 5, 2016 20:32:35 GMT -5
Well not touching ^^^^ but I will say when the schedule was turned into crap last year there was a mess to clean up. They had one team back out this season and week 1 was that game. At some point you have to play games and you play who is available. Yeah they look bad now but what where their records when scheduled? Both teams last year were 5-5 and Pandora had quite a few returning players on both sides of the ball. Heck in the BVC they could still end up 5-5.

Harding Will be dominating the MOAC in the near future. Playing much smaller schools than in the past AND winning. Thus getting more players out and keeping them out. Fewer transferring to Pleasnt since they will be winning league titles and beating Pleasant.

|
Post by babymaker on Sept 5, 2016 20:46:47 GMT -5
I can see that but how long till the league implodes? At some point that is the logical conclusion to playing 3 Divisions up. Then Harding will be stuck playing against schools their own size and the cycle returns...
