Thoughts on this weeks scores? Conference goes 4-4 with SC over Willard in OT (32-26) - Kind of surprised with this result. I think for one it's a sign that South Central is improving under Coach Fickiesen. It's also a sign that Willard is in trouble St Paul over SMCC (37-6) - Not unexpected, it will be interesting to see if anyone challenges the Flyers this year. Crestview over Loudonville (29-26) - Loudonville was 0-10 last season but lost some close games. Not sure if they overperformed or if Crestview isn't very strong this season. Plymouth over Cardington (35-20) - Seems like Plymouth has found an offense that suits them well. Big bodies wedge blocking. Will be interesting to see if they have improved on defense. Mapleton loses to Hillsdale (27-61) - Mapleton appears to once again have an explosive offense but absolutely no defense. New London loses to Lutheran West (13-47) - Long road ahead yet for the Wildcats, hopefully Coach Keys is able to get some positive energy going. Monroeville loses to Calvert (27-59) - Not surprised that Calvert beat Monroeville but I never expected it to be this big of a blowout. Monroeville may be in for a long season if their defense doesn't improve. Western loses to Black River (6-51) - Easily played the toughest game of any conference team in Black River (regional finalist last season). Curious to see how they do against Margaretta this week.

After attending the St. Paul game last night, I don't see them going 10-0 this year. They are just too small especially on the lines. I was told they only have 3 players on the roster that weigh 200 pounds, and one of them went down last night. I am not saying there is no talent, because their is plenty of it, just so small. Coach Livengood will get the best out of them, I just don't think it will be 10-0.

Calvert, possibly Crestview or Mapleton. Nobody saying much about Mapleton but they have a very good team, especially on offense. All three of these teams have to come to Whitney field though. They may go 9-1, I just don't see them going 10-0.

St Mary’s has nice size on the line and St Paul did okay for their first game, especially since a lot of guys are seeing first time varsity reps. They will only get better with each game. 3 fumbles last night from a back who only averaged carrying the ball 6 times a game last year, he hopefully will figure it out and hold on to the ball. That score could of easily been 50-6.
I also don’t think Tiffin has what it takes to beat the Flyers. Livengood will have this team where he wants them by playoffs.

Score should have been 40-6. Refs blew the call on the long FG at the end of the first half. Ball hit the back of the support pole after clearing the crossbar www.hudl.com/v/2AEEPJ

trutj, you are right that kick looks good to me. To bad that would have been a school record. That was a 53 yard attempt.
