Heard from a friend that TNT Pizza in Sycamore Ohio is great, their favorite around the Bucyrus area. Can anybody confirm that it's good. I’ll have to give it a try one of these days. TNT pizza one of my favorites. Another hidden gem is Breezy’s pizza in Bucyrus. Finally stopped in Bucyrus and tried Breezy's Pizza. Sits inside Dillinger's Entertainment Center. First time i have been in that building since it was the Mad Bull back in the 80's Seemed weird going in there and it having a pizza place inside. Pizza was just ok, i did like the crunching crust.

Ok I'm a little confused. I was actually in Bakers yesterday too, that wasn't the same Mad Bull I went to in the 80's. The Mad Bull in the 80's was on the west end of the square.

After a walk through the Seville antique mall we picked up a pizza from Digsby's Pizza that was a mistake we should have gone to Sparky's Pizza. Digbby's pretty much the same low quality as say a Little Caesars or Dominos.

This could be bad news for the locals in the Mansfield area. Southside pizza, one of the best pizzas around was just sold. Lets hope the new owners don’t change the recipe. Think its set to re-open March 9th. Went over and picked up a pizza from Southside the other day. Got to say the new owners did a good job keeping it as close to original as they could. Still very good one of the better ones around. Support you favorite places so we keep them around. I have had this pizza under the previous owners and the new owners, I agree it was a great pizza under the old owners but the new ones have changed since reopening. May have started off close to the old one at first but not so much now. Crust is not near as good, disappointing. Deschners and Leaning Tower definitely top dogs in Mansfield.

I'm a sucker for Antipasto Salads at pizza places, but the 2 I had at different locations in LA the last 2 weeks, were disappointments. When I got home last night, I made the drive to Bellevue's Little Italy to correct my taste buds.

Had the New York style pizza down in Columbus yesterday at Borgata Pizza Cafe. Thought it was pretty good they also have a nice Italian menu of pasta, salads, and sandwiches I would recommend checjing it out. It's just off of 161 at 5701 Parkville St.

What is your favorite pizza joint around this area. Please don’t tell me about some place in Chicago or New York. And no big chains, I want to hear about the good mom and pop places in the local towns. I like the Pizza Wheel in Bellevue Ohio Tubby’s pizza in Marion has the best pie.

Update on The Warrior. During the Pandemic they did carry out, pick up only. I picked up a a pizza about a month ago. There were literally 20 boxes pilled up on top of the oven waiting for pickup. The owner said it was by far their biggest year ever.
If anyone is interested, Poppa's on the other side of the road is for sale, $425,000 for the whole kit and caboodle, building, fixtures and recipes. Nice people, they're even redoing parking lot before selling.

Tried a deep dish Chicago-style from El Fredo's Pizza in Sioux City, IA last week. El Fredo's is supposed to be a big deal in town. Not sure why... it was quite disappointing.
In other news, King Giordano has opened a franchise in Des Moines. Yes suh.

Yesterday, I learned the difficult way that Little Italy in Bellevue is closed due to moving to a new location soon.

I had heard sometime back in the pre covid times that the owners of Little Italy had bought the former Pizza House West building by the tracks on Center St with plans to eventually move to that location.
Here's hoping that's what's going on now. Would give then the ability to have dine in, and a much better parking situation.

It says on their Facebook Page they're moving to 325 E. Center St, so that must be the location you stated.

Google Maps say they are a leisurely 350ft drive from one another. Fancy that.
Napoli's in Shelby is always a treat. Mama's Pizza does pretty darn well at certain things, like foldovers.
Baker's is of course good, but Leaning Tower of Pizza in Mansfield might be my favorite non-Shelby, local spot. The subs are excellent.
In case any of you leave town, Providence, RI has a neighborhood called Federal Hill, a very Italian area. There's a specific shop my family would go to that had workers who were clearly only speaking English for the customers, and would otherwise switch to Italian. Top notch olive oil there. One block away, there is a pizzeria with some of the highest reputation in the area, Casserta Pizzeria. It's not quite deep dish, but it's a heftier piece of pizza. They do the big 'ol rectangle slices.
Angelo's in Lakewood, OH is the best I've had in the Cleveland area, and not much comes close. The crusts are extremely crispy. I've heard Edison's Pizza Kitchen in Ohio City is comparable. Jet's pizza is my #2 favorite in the Cleveland/Akron area.
Pittsburgh was more miss than hit when it came to pizza. I never found a place that stood out to me. Primanti Brothers filled the void.
I've had an extraordinary pizza delivery in Las Vegas. If I were in another city, I probably would have had my wits to remember what it was. I was in Old Vegas, that's all I know. It is my big white whale at the moment.
Reno, NV is not what you would call brilliant for pizza culture, but there's a few spots. Noble Pizza is the best, followed by Pizzava. There is a pizzeria run by a Rhode Islander out here that I have yet to get pizza from. Maybe that will be my dinner tonight.

Follow up: Eclipse Pizzeria in Reno is solid. Maybe it was the 30 minute conversation about Rhode Island I had with the owner. Maybe not.

I think what has always set Napoli's apart from others is the corn meal base and of course, genuine hand tossed pizza.
