At least the Bucks aren't in the west. scUM got screwed having to go all the way out there. 3 ACC teams get 1-seeds? 3 ACC teams are ranked in the top four of the Coach's Poll. Makes perfect sense to me.

Ohio State has to play in Tulsa, while UM plays in Des Moines..."all the way out there" comment doesn't make much sense.

I don't think OSU will have to worry about where the regional games are held (but I hope I'm wrong).

I don't think OSU will have to worry about where the regional games are held (but I hope I'm wrong). Point being, the first two rounds are about as local as teams can get and plays no part in the region they are in. The teams that make it to regional play are forced to potentially travel. Like UM if they make it that far.

Stay retired Thad Matta. I was one of the few that wanted his mediocre tail out of here. Finally our ceiling can be shattered

That Kaleb Wesson guy sure is garbage huh? Can't wait till next year, when he will get some front line help. My question from this game was; how there was no whistle when an OSU ballhandler is slammed and tackled, simultaneously from both sides and no whistle! The ball goes the other way and then we get a phantom whistle, that replays show virtually no contact......horrendous. The announcing panel was a joke.

It is hard for me to fathom that this team even made the field of 64. Itās even more improbable they have a legit chance of making the sweet 16. Canāt wait to see what Holtman can do with better talent coming in. The BIG 7 and 1 in 1st rd games.

As someone said on twitter this is the āleast amount of talent Holtman will have and heās made the 32.ā
Fun times for basketbucks ahead.

I talked personally to a HS coach at the State Tourney who had a kid OSU wanted. Said the OSU assistants under Matta the last 2-3 years were garbage and the reason he failed and eventually got let go. It's one of the fastest ways to the top or bottom---"assistant coaches"

Did anyone seriously think the big ten was this good compared to the rest of the country? I did not. I think i might need to forego all future predictions as i am blown away by how well they are doing. Itās too bad 2 teams had to play each other prior to the sweet 16. Iām still saying the BIG has only lost 1 game so far in the big dance. GO BUCKS!

I don't know for sure how it plays out tonight, but either way all in all a good season for an average skill team. A little redemption for both Woods and Wesson vs Iowa State. Both guys were the bane of existence at times this year, but for the Iowa St game they were head and shoulders the best two OSU had and they won the game for us. Not sure any one else noticed this,, but the officials for maybe the first time this season didn't call every tick tac foul on Kaleb and his extra effort wasn't penalized. I was happy for both of those guys, maybe the most for Woods as we got to see him at his very best. I kept saying to myself ---'where was this guy all season long?' Maybe he was saving it for the Big Dance all along-lol.

If you didn't think the Big 10 was this good, you haven't watched college basketball this year.
This Bucks team reminds me of the one that won the Big 10 in Thad Matta's first year (05-06) with JJ Sullinger, Je'Kel Foster, and Terrence Dials. Similar team make-up. Dials > Wesson? Debate. I give Dials the edge for the defensive end.

Houston --unique team make up. Super fast and good shooting team. I don't think we played a team like them all season long with guards who were this fast and good ball handlers. Veteran Team.

The difference between Houston's quickness on offense to OSU's quickness on defense was to great. The lack of any OSU offense attacking the rim also was obvious. The driving floater by Houston was a weapon that was effective and points in the paint margin was to big.

yep, that driving floater was killer. We didn't seem to have any guard who could stay with Houstons' to stop it.

So ........ who is rooting for UM the rest of the way? I have my Big Ten hat on and cheer for all of them, regardless of the uniform they're wearing. Hope the Buckeyes gain some maturity over the summer. Their big downfall is making poor passing decisions. resulting in way, way too many turnovers.

Hope the Buckeyes gain some maturity over the summer. Their big downfall is making poor passing decisions. resulting in way, way too many turnovers. Maturity, speed, quickness, height and muscle. Not saying I don't want to see KW back but if he is the 2nd or 3rd option next season it will be a good season. His absence this year totally showed the lack of good talent we have. Holtman was working with a team of supporting players and an average big man. I think he did a great job, now start bringing in the studs.

I see a lot of talent on this team, but I'm seeing a lot of youth and inexperience.....which = lack of maturity and leadership. We have seen KW is willing and able to be the 'go to guy'. With the additional baseline help, double teaming the big guy, won't be quite so easy. We sometimes forget Kaleb is merely a sophomore. I see him as All-Big Ten, with the extra support that he will be enjoying next season.

There is no need to buy anything as it was my opinion. I do not see anyone on the current roster that can carry the team on their shoulders to a big ten title or a Final Four. That guy is needed. A soph on a college court is a veteran for many and being the past Mr Basketball we could hope for him to be good, but he cannot do it if he is the best player on the roster.

The incoming freshman class next year, should address a lot of the glaring inadequacies we see in this years team......has me in excited anticipation for next year.

Next years team with CJ Walker and Carton manning the guard position ought to be quite an improvement. Luther M should improve I would think too.
I see OSU as a Final Four team threat for the first time since Deshaun Thomas was a Junior in 2013. NBA talent on the roster and a coaching staff that can get it done. Going into next season, will be my personal highest expectation since Sullenger's Soph Year.
