CJ Walker will be on the court one way or another,,,no way Luther M starts in front of him I hope you are correct because I like the play of Luther. If we are getting a new guy better than him that's good.

I like the Luther in the 1st 1/3 of the season. In the second 2/3 of the season he was not the same guy. Have heard good things about CJ Walker from practice and the video of his last year at FSU.

LeDee transferring is a big hurt for next year, unless he knows something we don't at the moment....like Diallo is coming. Justin Ahrens showed flashes of what he is capable of, in several outstanding performances, then he quietly, disappears. Kyle Young has proven consistent and dependable, he's a bring your lunch pail and go to work kind of guy.

An 11Warriors article said Gaffney would split time with Andre Wesson at small forward next year. Now were getting somewhere, a 6-10 small forward at Ohio State. Like the Duke, N.Carolina and Kentucky's of the world. He'll be a better offensive player than Wesson. It will be seen if he can play good enough defense as a Freshman to increase his minutes.
Jaedon LeDee is transferring. Maybe that means the 6-11 Diallo is favoring Ohio State over Pitt. And will be added to this class. The nest shoe to drop will be Jallow and/or Ahrens who will both be third stringers, with the additions of the incoming class.

Holtmann is in California visiting and trying to put the finishing touches on acquiring Ibrahima Diallo, who would be a great addition. The fact that moving LeDee back to his natural PF position wasn't in the cards, tells me he was expendable. It simply means more playing time for Liddell and Gaffney. It now appears OSU is in a battle with Indiana for the services of 6-11 grad transfer Joey Brunk. Rumblings that LeDee won't be the last to leave the program. Two schollies freed up and potentially more. All the pieces of the puzzle will start falling in place and start to make more sense, soon.

If Diallo does choose us I hope he’s a great addition because I’ve seen his stats and they aren’t great which includes 29% on free throws.

Diallo would give Ohio State 2 things they had absolutely nothing of this year. A rim protector and a post defender for when Wesson is always in foul trouble. I forgot a third. A post player who can get off the floor and dunk an offensive rebound, instead of getting put backs blocked. He's definitely a "Hack a Shaq" candidate, but I wouldn't expect to see him on the floor with a lead at the end of games.

LeDee says he sees himself as a small forw ard, not a power forward. Says he made a mistake playing for a Big Ten school and wants to play for a "southern" team that runs up and down the floor. A prime example of an athlete that has an overblown picture of his abilities.

Reminds me a bit of Daniel Giddens from a few years ago. Speaking of which, he’s transferring from Alabama. Amazing to look back at that OSU class and how it turned out.

I'd love to see a study of players who flop at one school and transfer because they think they are being "miss-used".
Giddens is such a mystery guy to me. He passes the looks test of a big man,,but apparently cannot master any of the skills to succeed on the court.
I watched some Diallo video, def has that Kenny Johnson look to him with long arms as a shot blocking specialist.

Oh, how the 'tide' turns. There is now apparently mutual interest between tOSU and Giddens on re-joining the program as a Grad-Transfer. With the loss of LeDee, Holtmann is looking for someone with experience to protect the rim when Wesson has to take a blow. Let's hope this report is an April Fool's joke.

Doesn't he still have 2 years of eligibility left? Holtmann can't waste 2 years of a scholarship on someone that bad. One year is a different story. With that being said, I'm sure he'll be miserable again and want to transfer out of Ohio State a second time.

With that being said, I'm sure he'll be miserable again and want to transfer out of Ohio State a second time. Believe it or not, after his year at Ohio State, he spent the past three seasons at Alabama. Seems like it hasn't been that long. So in this scenario, he would be a graduate transfer, and have immediate eligibility to play just this season with the Buckeyes. Considering they have two available scholarships for next season, tOSU could add both Giddens and Diallo - if he decides to sign here. According to the Dispatch, Giddens is visiting campus today.

I'm still hoping we get the nod from Grad transfer Joey Brunk. He is a legit B1G center at 6-11 245 and would have two years eligibility.

His dad groomed all his boys from a very early age on the game of basketball. I think he will do well in his new capacity. I wish him luck!

I don't think Giddens saw himself playing much for Ohio State, he ended up at Vermont. He could be a star there.
