Congrats to the Streaks. The game was really over by the end of the first quarter. As a diehard Pirate fan, this may be a tough season for us. I really didn't see much to be hopeful about. Without Quisno, we'll see how Ziegler adjusts.

Coach Ziegler is an excitable guy. This can be beneficial in firing up your team. It can be detrimental when a clear focused mind is needed. Just my view from the cheap seats.

Perkins now knows how Oak Harbor felt in 2008. It hurts still.

I could see Sandusky starting 4-0 before facing Shelby and Willard.
Could we see Sandusky go 8-2 and make the playoffs?

Perkins now knows how Oak Harbor felt in 2008. It hurts still. The thing that makes it continue to hurt is the performance of the guy that they chose to replace Quisno. If Oak Harbor had made a better decision or faced the fact that they made a poor decision and replaced May, the sting might have gone away by now.

Sandusky athletes staying home? All the imported athlete's and state dollar's in the world couldn't help the pirates last night.

Sandusky athletes staying home? Last year's Perkins team had some key players who were open enrolled and this years best player is open enrolled as well. I personally think some people are fearful on the overall outlook of the Perkins school system. Also, it is not cheap to play sports in Perkins. I saw Sandusky freshman beat Perkins 34-0 today.

....I saw the Sandusky freshman team beat Perkins 34-0 today. Probably could have beat the varsity team last night, too.

Quiz was definitely what kept the pirates going. Zigler was skating on thin ice when quiz came along and bailed him out. Gonna be alooong year without the quiz.

It amuses me that Gary Quisno has become this larger than life figure who controls the fate of program's with his mere presence. It's almost as if just having his tall red haired self around means the difference between winning and losing.
" Just stand there with a clipboard and a headset Gary. It's all we need."

It's as if they never had any talent for these past 5 years. It was all Quiz and nothing more. Without him they might as well not even have an offense lol
