I hope Urban isn't so stupid to blame Martell for that horrendous snap and decide to not go back to Martell in future games in the redzone. This offense has the ability to be like that 2006 Florida team with situational QB substitutions. I would prefer to let him play out the series of downs, when he gets inserted in the red zone. Maybe we will see that next week. We seen signs of promise on both sides of the ball today. We saw some spirited emotion from these guys second half. Something to build on.

Like Martell in the red zone, many of us have been seeing the obvious, insert Brad Taylor at Center and move Jordan to replace Prince. They finally repositioned the LB's and immediate results and continuous improvement. You want to insert a new center and move the old center to a position he hasn’t played in week 11. That’s a level of stupid unknown to mankind. Sr. Brady Taylor was the backup center, before his injury. Fr. Josh Myers is currently listed as the backup on the depth chart. Maybe there are designs on redshirting Taylor.

I have a feeling you'll see a little more Tate Martell going forward. I think Urban noticed or at least I would hope he would, the enormous open running room if Martell keeps the ball on a couple of those inside read option plays. Looked like he could have walked in on a couple of those inside handoffs to Webber. I cannot say for sure but it almost looked like we were force fed Webber to perhaps show the Michigan HS players what a Detroit kid can do at Ohio State. He got a lot more touches than JK did.

What you saw was proof of Urban's concept of football math.
If you have a QB that is not a threat to run, the defense has an 11 to 10 advantage. If you have a QB that is a threat to run, then when you run the read option you don't block a defender, the QB reads him, thus 10 players on defense. AND the defense must always respect the QB to be a runner/scrambler that is a +1 on offense. IF your QB is a great scrambler then the defense often has to assign a LB to "spy" on the QB. Again reducing the number of players on defense, that is playing all out defense.
It looked more to me like a Michigan kid that gets continuous grief from people in Michigan for choosing Ohio State. PROVING to them he made the right decision.
