The FCS schools only play 10 regular season games so that their Championship is the 15th game. They have a 24 team field. Good for them. Not a reason that the FBS schools can't have an 8 team playoff with their schedules as they are now. When will 16 be wanted? Why not 24?

^^^Bowl games start on Dec 15th, so why can't the first round of playoffs start on Dec. 15th too? Not paying attention again. It was suggested above that games would start 2 weeks earlier. Not paying attention to the bold dates in my post. Same dates for semi's in the FCS and 1st round in an 8-team FBS. Not 2 weeks earlier. I was looking at BBs post that included the beginning of the playoffs being the Conference Title game for the Power Five Conferences which are played at the beginning of December. I stated that I'd prefer the playoff to start two weeks after the conference championship games, as opposed to fbfan's post suggesting they should start 1 week after the conference championship games. This year 2 weeks after the CCG's would be Dec 15th, which as has been pointed out is the same day as the start of the FBS Bowls and the FCS Semis. Not sure where you're getting this "2 weeks earlier" thing.

The FCS schools only play 10 regular season games so that their Championship is the 15th game. Actually, after doing some research that you didn't, FCS schools are allowed to play 11 regular season games if they choose. Most of the schools in the 24 team playoff bracket do so. If one of those goes all the way to the finals, they play a total of 16 games. Same number of total games that would be played by FBS schools reaching the finals if they added one more round and made it an 8 team bracket. If FCS players can handle that, so can FBS players. Another argument against an 8 team FBS playoff debunked.

Maybe so, but we only get to talk about it a few weeks each year. Don't be a party pooper.

In the case of MU, they expect to be in the finals every year.

It takes 2 to have a debate. I don't expect to win every one I participate in, didn't in Debate in college.

According to 11warriors all of the Power Five commissioners think 4 is the best number. Did anyone really think they'd listen to the fans?

No, they follow the money and tow the line, just as they will when the current contracts run out. All the fans can do is let the Tv networks know where the money is going to be when that day comes.

I feel really bad for all those student athletes that signed up for the schools that have participated in the 24 team FCS National Championship Playoff. Poor kids will never have an education, but at least they did something that most of the kids at the FBS schools are never going to have a chance at.

Two entirely different worlds and two entirely different scenarios.
