who will be the best player in firelands conference this year? in my opinion the top 5 players are... 1. Simon Blair; Point Guard, South Central 2. Jacob Adams; Shooting guard, Plymouth 3. Brayden Hood; Shooting guard, Western Reserve 4. Nick Winslow; Point guard, St. Paul 5. Karson Howell; Shooting guard, New London

Define best Player? Leading scorer or the guy who impacts his team the most in Wins? Is Hood even playing for WR?
A couple other guys who might be in the discussion. Markley from WR and Griffin from SP.

Markley from WR and Griffin from SP. Those players are both good players and indeed are in the conversation. But without a person to facilitate the offense would Markley or Griffin be able to get open looks being the spot up shooters they are?

Got to see some firelands conference games this week. St. Paul lost to Plymouth by 2 with Jacobs Adams having 35 points. I think St. Paul, Western Reserve and, South Central and maybe even Plymouth will evenly compete for the firelands conference crown.

Simon Blair is the best in the league, hands down, no competition.
SC *should* 3-peat for the Crown. Last year, this year, next year.

Blair is a good player, but what I would like to see him do is distribute the ball better and become a great passer. Hes so good that when he drives everyone helps in on him and he always shoots over them. He would be a great player if he passed that shot up more often to a wide open guy than to shoot over 4 defenders.

Everyone starter on that team is worth at least a mention in conference.

Western vs St. Paul game is looking to be the biggest game of the year so far. It will determine for St. Paul if they are still in the run or are out. For western, it will prove how elite they really are. Rumors from today when talking to western kids is that Brayden Hood has quit the team. Anyone else have anything else on that?

I talked to someone from Western at the WR-SP girls game last night and all he said about Hood was that he's been out most of the year and was ready to come back.

Good game tonight. SP out coached...again. I’ve seen a few SP games and they have some players. But there’s very little adjustments and if it’s close at the end, forget it SP is going to come up short.

They almost gave the NL game away in the same fashion as the Plymouth game. Both of those teams have one main player that takes the clutch shots and puts up the most points. In both games SP did nothing to special to stop or even slow down those players, especially at the end of the game.
