This is the last research project of the season with my group at the Community Center. After this, I won't be bugging you for your help with our research!
We are researching (1) how and (2) why people align themselves with the two major political parties in our country - Republican and Democrat. Independent and/or Libertarian are being excused from this research.
Our focus is how people select their party. Do people simply do what their parents do/did? Do people ever secretly agree with the opposing party from time to time, but would never admit it? Do people truly know the ideals of each party? Et cetera.
Also, is there such a thing as an informed, educated swing voter?
So, I need your help. You don't have to declare which party you belong to. We just want to know how and why you selected your political party of choice.
